If you liked Re-Animator you'll like this one. More undead, violence, and Dr. West. Loads of fun.

Dark City

I don't really want to say a lot about this movie for fear of spoiling anything, so I'll keep this short and sweet.

First off: The plot is incredible. If you thought The Matrix was thought provoking, this will blow your mind.

The cinematography and overall design of this film are also incredible. Very dark, very surreal. Along with the spectacular effects, the whole movie looks great.

The actors are all very good as well, especially Keifer Sutherland.

Put simply, you have to see this movie. One of the best sci-fi films I've ever seen.

9/10

Ahem.

Jeepers Creepers 2: 5/10

Watchable, but not as good as the first by far. One part actually scared me though, if you really care you can ask me about it but i don't want to type it right now.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
8/10 I'm proud to own this one. Mina and the Moroccan guy are my favorites.

The Mummy Returns

9/10... Most... Entertaining... movie... ever! I have it but haven't seen it in forever, and boy is it good.

Dead End 4/10

I heard it was good, but it was just a giant plot hole story IMO. The family trauma stuff was done well though, but I found it to be just another one of those, "let's keep them guessing then not pull off a decent reasoning at the end" story. But then again, i've only seen one movie like that that pulled it off...

Yeah, just kidding. I couldn't remember his name for some reason.

The Hills Have Eyes (Remake)

Well, this didn't stray too far from the original, but it did amp up the gore quite a bit. I have always sort of thought the original Hills was pretty good, but not great and I guess I sorta feel the same way about this. The deformed family of inbreds maiming a group of stranded motorists is one of the older formulas in the horror film writing book so this film didn't really accomplish anything new in terms of plot. Aja did a good job directing, the acting was just fine and the story moved along pretty fluidly but like I said, there wasn't really anything new or groundbreaking here...

All in all, this is not a bad remake, but I don't think it's in league with TCM or Dawn of the Dead's remakes either....

His name is Naseeruddin Shah, and he's Indian. One of the most acclaimed actors of Indian cinema.

Agreed...couldn't help but wonder if the guys that made the matrix heavily borrowed, replacing aliens with machines, and a mouldable world with a digital world...but hey...I think dark city was way better too.

Which means that if you've NEVER heard of him...that's ok.
