BLACKWOOD EVIL 2000

Found footage. 4 people investigate some type of evil farmhouse. Not really sure what the evil was and a lot was too dark to see but I enjoyed the lady that played the reporter.

E.T. comes home to Gertie... "be good"... horror ensues, right?

Is that Steve Perry from Journey with his hair dyed blonde?

Thumb resize.

So if people lick that dude's head they start to hallucinate, right?

Too dark to see? Well it is Blackwood evil, Bloof. I was just watching something the other night I thought was too dark, and it was going on for awhile, I had to wonder if I was missing something. ::big grin::

I had that thought too actually. But he played the part so well, down to the weird ass accent, I couldn't really complain.

Have you read the book? It gives more insight, but not by much, at least not that I remember. I want to know where Greg got his sources on it and what not. Because Wiseau still doesn't want people to know that much about him. He actually liked the movie and didn't care for the book because the book gave too much about him away.

Loveless (2017)

Like 'A GHOST STORY', another melancholic and one of the best films of 2017 with stunning cinematography, framing and direction.

The Shape of Water (2017)

https://s26.postimg.org/w3rwom14p/sh..._water_hdc.jpg

The cast did an excellent job in their respective roles as it was beautifully written & shot but as a story, I found it quite ordinary; Del Toro played safe with the plot, nothing much new or twisted aspects in it as a romantic-monster movie.

Phoenix Forgotten (2017)

Another average found footage flick inspired by Phoenix lights incident. Not bad, an okay time-waster but surprised to know that one of the producers was Ridley Scott!!

Veronica (2017)

https://s26.postimg.org/cafsvevbd/veronica.jpg

Inspired by a true incident, it's pretty well made with good production value & cast but as a whole, it was just another 'Ouija session goes wrong and a demonic entity starts to haunts down a family'-kind of pretty average horror flick from Paco Plaza (one of the makers of REC.).

Yeah that's it. Some of those puppets movies where kind of freaky back then. I think it was because I was expecting a kiddy movie and it turned out to be dark. There was a version of The Wiz that was like that too with killer puppets in train stations and mean monkeys riding flying bicycles with axes or something like that.

IT (2017)

Saw Insidious: The Last Key last night. I enjoyed it. There were a few jump scares, but, there were equally as many genuinely creepy scenes.

8/10

Finally got to see the new It. Loved it! Looking forward to the next installment.

Saw 2 - Better than the first in some ways, worse in others.

Saw 3 - Never liked this one. Still don't.

Saw 4 - Probably one of the more superior sequels in my mind...perhaps #1 after the original. Enriches Johns back story which I enjoyed. Few good twists and turns ;)

Can't say I remember much of the ones that followed these. Not expecting much.

Dead Bad Things 01-15-2018 02:57 PM

Things like what the fuck?! and what the fuck was that?!! come to mind with the monsters in this one....New terms (to me anyway) like terrestrial first level possessed, point blank gunshots to the face, and first person cinematography make this a pretty good flick.
