El Paramo aka The Squad (2011)
http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...dhdc/Squad.jpg A military horror from Colombia. The premise was quite similar to R-Point & Death Watch. Nicely done; thought mostly things turning out in a psychological horror scenario but the last shot changed everything and I liked that. :D >>: B+ |

Bigfoot...on Syfy
not good/bad..not bad/fun......just fucking bad I made it to Alice Coopers cameo and had to turn it off. The Brady and Partridge dudes were better actors when they were kids. |

So does anyone know whats up with Scfy making all the 50s throwbacks? I mean I dont know how low the budgets are for majority of their movies of late but thats why I said how low as oppose to how high. Just wonderin if they are just paying homage or if anybody really knew.

Oh, and I'm watching "Gettysburg" right now. You know, since it's the anniversary of the battle and all. |

Hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. There's some predictable moments and a lot of MacFarlane's type of comedy but it was really good. |

License To Kill |
The Deadly Spawn (1982) saw this on the UK's horror channel and it was advertised as a video nasty by Emily Booth but I don't remember it making the list???Anyway this was an ultra gorefest alien invasion movie. It has a lot of references to the creature feature movies it was obviously inspired by. The acting is of course terrible and there's no real plot but there are some memorable scenes including some grannies accidentally eating one of the spawns and then complete carnage. Enjoyable fun.
Cassadaga (2011)Studios please make more inventive daring risk-taking horror like this. It is set in the titular town the "psychic capital of the USA". After a genuinely jaw dropping opening the movie continues about a killer who makes marionnettes of his victims. Plus it has Star Trek DS9's straight laced Bajoran Kai Louise Fletcher smoking spliffs and growing weed in her greenhouse which is hilarious. There's also a supernatural angle to the film and it works really well with the creative playing with the serial killer's victims. Gruesome and haunting. Recommended. |

"The Pact" (2012) 7/10 "As a woman struggles to come to grips with her past in the wake of her mother's death, an unsettling presence emerges in her childhood home." Confusing at times, probably due to the lack of dialogue, but the camera work and score worked well for the atmosphere. Had some pretty creepy moments. |
Stephen King's It
This really isnt that bad of a movie, i actually do like it but it doesn't do justice to the book. One thing i really hate about the movie is that they changed the ending adding fuel to the common misconception about IT just being a giant spider instead of that just being the form it took to fight them in the end. I would like to see someone redo this and split it into two movies. One with the kids, the other with them as adults. That way you can spend more time with the story and get it right and not have to change so many things. One thing i loved about the movie though was Tim Curry as Pennywise. He's awesome. |

They're making a movie out of It, right? Do we know who's going to be playing Pennywise yet? |

We need another killer clown movie. It, would be perfect. The first killjoy was ok. In a comical straight B rate movie kinda way. Plus the orignal even though made for tv we all still know "WE ALL FLOAT DOWN HERE" and kept many of my friends afraid of drain grates most their lives. huh ha. Gotta love them clowns

Although i will say i love Killer Klowns From Outer Space |
Couldn't agree with you more on both points. We need a true killer clown more killing less on comical. And the Killer Klowns from outer Space is awesome. "What in tarnations goin around here? Gimme back my dog."

A pedaphile in a clown costume.
Nothing funny about that. |
"The haunting of Bryan Becket" 6/10
"After the mysterious death of his Aunt, a confirmed skeptic lawyer, Bryan Becket, dismisses reports that his Aunt's house is haunted and moves in. Immediately occurrences begin he cannot explain." Sure, both title and story sounds cliche and the cover looks like crap. And yes, it WAS cliche. But the first hour build-up actually worked out very well with enough strange stuff happening in the house to keep it entertaining. Then the female psychic turned up and it all went forgettable from there. Too bad. |
