Peeping Tom

...and this film is STILL shocking, imo. I can see why it was so reviled when it came out. It was SO ahead of its time.

the closest thing to a classic horror i've watched in ages was Abbot and Costello Meet the Mummy

"It Came From Beneth The Sea" (1955)
-Kenneth Tobey

After an encounter at sea with an unknown underwater creature, a naval commander works with two scientists to identify it. The creature they are dealing with is a giant, radioactive octopus that has left its normal feeding grounds in search of new sources of replenishment. As the creature attacks San Francisco, the Navy tries to trap it at the Golden Gate Bridge but it manages to enter the Bar area leading to a final confrontation with a submarine.

One of the fun "Giant Radioactive Monsters On The Loose" movies from the 1950's. Great stop motion FX by Ray Harryhausen. Not quite a classic, but a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

"Fiend Without A Face" (1958)
-Marshall Thompson

An American military base in Canada is developing a missile control system based on nuclear energy and is facing problem with the people from the nearby town. When four locals, including the Mayor, are killed, Major Jeff Cummings (Marshall Thompson) is in charge of the investigation. When the coroner examines the one of the corpse, he finds that the brain and spinal chord was sucked out and Major Cummings defines the creature as a mental vampire. He looks for Prof. R. E. Walgate (Kynaston Reeves), a retired scientist that lives in town, and he discloses the scary secret.

another fun 1950's radioactive monster movie. Lots of fun. good stop motion FX.
I really enjoy this movie.

Me too! Those brain/spinal chord monsters really freaked me out when I was a kid.

I remember seeing that in the theatre when it came out! I was a little pissed Chris Lee wasn't in it more.

Yes, I agree, that aspect of it is very disappointing. But, it's still one of my favorites.
