i finally watched a movie last night ...
De-Lovely - The Cole Porter Story with Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd.
Not going to be a popular movie with the folks on this forum - thats for sure.

I liked it .. there is something about these songwriters and big band leaders that i find interesting ...

one thing i did find distracting was that every time there was a musical number a 'name' was singing it .. so you started anticipating who the next one would be ..(elvis costello, cheryll crow, etc)

well acted movie and the music was great if you like that kind of thing - which i do.

the Kevin Spacey movie I was talking about is called Beyond The Sea, just remembered.

And speaking of Kevin Spacey he's playing Lex Luthor in Superman Returns which starts production sometime in March, guess it should make it's cinematic appearance summer '06.

you have to take everything with a grain of salt though .. there's probably 30% truth in any boigraphy. Most peoples lives really arent that interesting.

Just a jackknife has old macheath, babe...and it keeps it, ah...out of sight.''

I like that one too.

''Fly me to the moon
let me sing among those stars
let me see what spring is like
On jupiter and mars''

don't think I've heard Beneath the Sea, is that Sinatra too?
