So now there's a 2 month pause in the middle of the season? WHY?!! ::mad::
|
i liked it when it started but its just so painfully slow.
|
I posted a mini review in the TV topic.
http://horror.com/forum/showpost.php...postcount=7175 I didn't like the ending at all. I'm not going to watch the show anymore. |
Episode 9 "What Happened and What's Going On" very depressing episode.
SPOILERS... I thought the skeleton with the flowers and grass growing out of it was a cool visual. How devastating for Noah to return home and find his neighborhood decimated like that. I thought Tyler James Williams gave a great performance portraying that shock and grief. Nice to see Tyreese step up to support him. I was shocked and disappointed to see Tyreese actually get bit. Nice to see so many dead characters show up in this episode. Beth singing kind of made me sad though. The gore in this episode as per usual looked incredible especially the slow motion stuff towards the end. Crashing into the back of the truck with all the zombie parts falling out was crazy. I genuinely thought Tyreese was going to make it there for awhile. Pretty heartbreaking that he didn't survive. |
I didn't watch. Only read some forum posts and reviews. I'm glad I'm out on the show. The new horror rule of only so many of a certain character is stupid and the deaths aren't shocking when that happens.
|
The new episode has got to be one of the worst opening shows to a season ever.Correction,it was the worst.I hit the fast forward button more times yesterday than through any of the previous episodes.
If this is a taster then i doubt i will be sticking with it for much longer. |

Episode 10 "Them"
SPOILERS... Kind of a boring episode but it had a lot of good character work. Norman Reedus eating a live earthworm is one of the grossest things this show has done. I thought the scene with everyone coming together to hold the barn door closed was good though. All the zombies being crushed by the storm was pretty crazy. I like the symbolism with the music box. Aaron shows up! |
Haven't seen episode 10 so ignoring those posts for now. Anyway...
I think i'm about 90% sure i'm going to stop watching. I understand its a terrible existence. Its incredibly hard, depressing, etc. But its become annoying, not moving or powerful, or depressing in a worth watching sort of way. The constant shit that happens over and over is just annoying. Its not fun or engrossing its just waiting to see what the next shitty thing to happen is, its not dreading it or hoping for it. So yeah I think i'm going to be passing on the rest of the episodes. Death of Beth had me almost to the edge, now Tyreese, i'm irritated, not angry he's dead. Irritation does not make for good film/tv/books. |
I cannot see me watching this for much longer unless they do something different. They have been stuck on that same fecking road for three seasons now and it must be the longest road in the world, either that or the producers live there and cant be arsed shooting anywhere else.
It is boring and dull and tedious.Hopefully the next episode might twist in a different direction,if not then i`m afraid the dead shall have rot on their own without me. |
Episode 11 "The Distance"
SPOILERS I laughed when Rick one punch KOed Aaron during his pitch. Rick ain't messing around anymore! I hate applesauce too. Return of the RV. Glenn driving through all those zombies was an epic splatter fest. Rick shooting that walker in the face with the flare gun was awesome. Looking forward to Alexandria. |
Well they're finally back on the comic book track so when I saw Aaron I was stoked......Rick needs to chill but again they shit they've been through idk I guess I don't blame him. And now they are in my hood :) Alexandria ::big grin::
|
Since I don't read the comics, I'm curious to see where it goes from here.
|
I prefer the comic of the TV series for some reason. I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels that way or not but I just can't get into watching this TV series for the life of me. I've watched the first 2 seasons and than I dropped it. The comic is much different than the series. I'm glad for those who still do enjoy it though but I just can't get into it but I'm not going to hate on the show or anything cause I know there's thousands of fans out there. So it has to be doing something right.

I'm getting a little tired of all the derailments. Gives the impression that the writers have no idea where to go with this story. |

Episode 12 "Remember"
SPOILERS Daryl's "we brought dinner line" cracked me up. I thought the interview scenes with Deanna were pretty good. Kind of crazy to see Andrew Lincoln clean shaven at this point. Daryl still carrying around that possum during his interview. I love the banter between Daryl and Carol. Not a good sign someone found the pistol Rick stashed. Aiden is a douche loved that Glenn got a punch in. Constables Rick and Michonne! I punched the air and shouted hell yeah when Rick said "we'll take this place". |
SPOILERS
I like where they're taking this season. Kinda seems like a mix of the farm and the prison storylines. I know that doesn't really sound all that good but it's different then the way those storys played out. At the very least i'm interested to see how it plays out. Rick looks so weird without the beard. I love that Daryl is the one whose still skeptical about the town to the point of not even showering. Loved that Glenn knocked that fucker out. |

Episode 13 "Forget"
SPOILERS Sasha in sniper mode was bad ass but her detachment is kind of freaky. Interesting watching her try to deal with PTSD though. Wonder who carved a 'W' into that walkers forehead. Weird seeing Michonne in a uniform. Love Carol pretending to be all suburban house wife. Buttons! Abe is a philosophical drunk. Carol was creepy as hell when that kid caught her. |
The "W" stands for "weaksauce".
|
Episode 14 "Spend"
SPOILERS Excellent Seth Gilliam scene to open the episode and easily his best so far. I liked seeing Noah want to learn how to build stuff. Great seeing Glenn lead a supply run with the new group. Eugene finally being useful. Of course Aiden is the one who blows up a grenade and gets himself killed. Carol is crazy mean to little Sam. Abraham is a beast but he has the worst catchphrase. Kind of awesome seeing Eugene step up to protect Tara and try to rescue the rest of the group. Loved seeing Francine punch that guy in the face. Nicholas is a piece of shit and it was really satisfying seeing Glenn knock him out. Wow wasn't expecting Noah to get eaten but the gore was spectacular. Gabriel is crazy and a snitch, what a bad time for Glenn to pull up. Looking forward to how Rick and Carol deal with the Pete situation. |
I knew Noah was a goner...right from the get go...
When they focused on him wanting to be an architect...especially when Tara jumped on his back a little and hugged him... Bad omens. Just blend in...don't get too noticed...remain vigilant, remain aware... But have no focus on you! They focus on Beth, she's dead. They focus on Bob, he's dead. They focus on Tyrese, he's dead. They focus on Noah, he's dead. Shit's gonna hit the fan soon...Rick's gonna kill their only doctor cuz he's beating his wife and kid. AND THE WOLVES ARE NEAR!!! |
Episode 15 "Try"
SPOILERS Nice montage to a Nine Inch Nails song to open the episode. Nicholas is scum and I liked seeing Glenn confront him especially after he fed those lies to Deanna. Sasha, Michonne and Rosita were all pretty bad ass. The gore on the woman tied to the tree looked phenomenal. Pete is creepy as hell and the scene where he fights Rick was great. Rick losing it again and Michonne knocking him out made me laugh. |

So I initially stopped watching after the snoozefest that was season 1, because I loathed the cast and hoped 90 per cent of them WOULD get eaten by zombies.
And those were supposed to be the GOOD guys. I missed the atmosphere and creep-factor that kept me turning the pages of amazing comics and playing Telltales video games. Buuuut there always comes a time when you've run out of the good shows and turn back to the bad, so I skipped some episodes and BAM - now we're talking. Finally they're implementing the most disgusting and savage human behavior that WOULD be a fact should a zombie apocalypse hit us. Excuse me, of course I mean WHEN the zombie apocalypse hits us ::wink:: |

Episode 16 "Conquer"
SPOILERS Glad to see Lennie James finally show up again and it was great to see him kick some ass. So that was our actual introduction to The Wolves Epic trap that Daryl and Aaron fell into and seeing Daryl use a chain to decapitate three zombies was awesome. Carol was excellent in this especially when she tells Pete "Come at me". Can't believe Nicholas shot Glenn! Very cool that Morgan was the one to save Daryl and Aaron. Superb gore in the scene where Gabriel decapitates the walker with the noose around its neck. Rick pushing his gun up into that walker's face before shooting it looked amazing. Very satisfying seeing Glenn beat up Nicholas and was disappointed that Glenn chose not to kill him. Another good speech from Rick at the end. Pete showing up and killing Deanna's husband was unexpected. I loved that Deanna told Rick to put him down. Morgan and Rick reunited! Loved the symbolism of Michonne taking the katana back down from the wall. |
Superb gore? Okay, perhaps I'll watch it.
|
What a mess of an episode..
A sad way to end the season. |
Great ending...had me on the edge of my seat almost the entire time...
At one point, when Rick was fighting the 3 walkers and Glenn was fighting Nicholas...I couldn't even sit down. That's good TV! |
I binged the last season over the last couple of days.
It definitely was better than the previous one. But after watching Z-Nation I have troubling adapting to the drama. Also after 5 seasons it's getting a bit repetitive. And it's making me care less and less. And what's the deal with all those stupid nicknames for zombies?! Why doesn't anyone call them what they actually are? Quote:
Because I thought that Pete guy used her sword to kill that older guy.? Or I wasn't paying attention for a moment... |
For quite some time i actually loved the series finale.I enjoyed every minute of this episode, something which i have been struggling with for a while now but yesterday when i watched it brought hope for the continuing saga.
|
I was quite disappointed with the finale. There was a lot of build up through out the last few episodes for something big to happen. But once we got there, nothing happened. They put several of the characters in situations where you felt one of them at least wouldn't make it out
alive but of course, they all did. It's bullshit in my opinion on the writer's part. This also isn't the first time they've done this on the show. I'm still pissed about the prison finale with The Governor. |
Wife and I binged watched this on DVD when released and now watching it again. Personally thought this was an EXCELLENT season and a big improvement over #4, although that wasn't bad either. One of my favorite shows, ever.
