A flock of birds flew out from the top of the trees, chirping wildly. Bwind stumbled through them, feet swishing over the grass. He was breathing heavily, his wounds dripping blood continuously from between the patches applied on them. He stopped and leaned on a tree near him to catch his breath, fighting back the spasms of pain ringing through his body.

A shadow fell across him. Bwind froze and lifted his head around apprehensively.

Demon Seed glared back at him angrily, and lifted his machete. Bwind's hand slipped from the tree he was leaning on, and he fell to the ground wide-eyed in extreme surprise and dread.

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

DS's machete sliced straight through his face, cutting through his cheek!

Bwind yelped and clutched the left side of his face. His cheek was neatly sliced into two, and long trails of blood started oozing through it into his hand through the gaps of his fingers.

"Guess we won't be smack-talking too much now, eh?" DS sneered.

Bwind grabbed at his HPs. His left cheek now had a long cut stretching from his lips to almost his left ear!


Straker heard some yells coming from behind, where the trees ended. He knew someone was in trouble, which meant that someone's strikers were near too. He got up from the place he was crouching at, and started running in the opposite direction. He stole a quick glance backwards, and at that exact moment, he tripped over something and went down in a heap on the ground.

"Going somewhere?" a voice boomed in his ears.

Startled out of his wits, Straker whirled. The gleam of the wicked blade of the machete shone in the sunlight once, before it came down directly on his chest.

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The machete went crunching through Straker's ribcage, luckily missing his heart and lungs narrowly. Straker coughed and moaned loudly, the huge cut vomiting a big gush of blood all over him. Straker grabbed at his HPs and looked at his attacker.

Doc Faustus smiled down at him, throwing the broken handle away.


The Return knew something was wrong in the scene in front of him. Some THING looked out of picture, and he was straining to perceive what it was. Then suddenly, he realised and noticed, long and hard.

The boulder in front of him some distance away, was moving!

He rapidly made big strides towards it, machete ready to swing. As he neared it, he saw to his surprise that it wasn't a boulder at all. The guy had covered his head with his parka and was slowly moving forward, giving that impression.

Clever, but not clever enough, Return thought.

He reached the moving figure and struck right in between the shoulder blades hard.

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The figure went down and a muffled howl came out of his jacket. Return's machete immediately broke into two, and he threw the handle away. He reached forward, and pulled the parka back.

GroundZero2424 looked back at him with dismay and terror, feeling his open bleeding wound with one hand. Return leaned back and smiled.

"ARRRRRRRRRR!" he teased, sticking his tongue out at Groundzero, who was reaching for his HPs.

Rayne stopped and looked around. She had wandered into unfamiliar territory filled with rocks and bushes, without a tree in sight. Suddenly she realised she was in full view of anyone within a yard of her on all sides. She swooped down and lay on the floor, wincing with the raw pain shooting up from her severed nerves of the two wounds of her body.

A soft rustle on her right made her whirl towards that direction. Despare was running towards her now, arm outstretched with the machete lifted high. Rayne screamed and turned around to get up. But Despare was onto her in a flash. Grabbing her by the neck from behind, he brought down the machete heavily straight on the top of her head!

Rayne gathered some astonishing strength at the last moment, and swerved out of Despare's grip.

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The blow caught her squarely on her arm, almost severing it off her body. The ugly scar reddened in an instant, and blood rained out of it in short bursts. Rayne grunted and screamed again, as Despare dropped the now-broken machete and leaned back silently. Rayne looked at him fighting back tears, as she reached for her HPs. Despare stared back, with hard and cold eyes.


Rayne crawled through the short bushes and stopped. Despare's receding figure faded in the distance. She figured that nobody would immediately chance upon her after her very recent attack, and took some seconds out to get her breath back and think clearly. Her brain was on fire, with spasms of pain shooting all over her body. She looked at the small ravine ahead with hope, and knew it would be a good hiding spot for her. She began to crawl forward again.

Unfortunately for Rayne, her screams had attracted another hunter. Jenna26 broke through the bushes on her right, and stared directly at the wounded and bleeding Rayne. She knew she wouldn't have a better chance. Uttering a loud cry, she ran forward with her machete held high.

Rayne shrieked and turned. The sight of Jenna running towards her to attack instantly froze her up. She tried to get up to run, but one of her legs failed her and she crumpled down again. Jenna came running beside her and struck.

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The machete tore through Rayne's right side, cutting it into two. A long, deep gash on her side started to turn bright crimson, as a huge squirt of blood sprayed out of it into the ground. Rayne groaned and turned over, clutching her side. Her other hand frantically reached for her HPs, as Jenna looked on. Her eyes were lit up wildly, a savage light in them disappearing slowly.


He looked on quietly at the two attacks on the helpless prey. First Despare, then Jenna. He didn't feel good about doing his deed when the target was down and unarmed, but he knew he wouldn't have a better chance than this. Good, he thought, she is headed right towards me. Rayne had patched herself up the best she could and was slowly crawling towards the small green ravine, unaware of his presence in it. Silent tears ran down her cheeks, and big spasms of pain ran through her body. Somehow she reached the first bush near the ravine. He saw her. She saw him. She screamed.

He jumped at her, and struck.

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The blow caught Rayne squarely on the left side of her neck. Luckily, she had enough flesh and bone to withstand the blow and was left with only a big cut. It started to spray blood almost instantly, as Rayne clutched at it wildly.

Shriek Of The Mutilated took a step back, and looked at her. A small gist of a smile broke his face for a second, then it became stone-hard again.



Fiend Skull was in a dilemma. He tried to ask his team leader who to target, but she was busy giving instructions to others. Soon, they all had dispersed and he was on his own. It was his first time inside the Zone, and the fading light and the forest made him very apprehensive. He clutched his machete tightly and looked around.

A man was crouched near the gate, trying to avoid his gaze!

Fiend peered at him, trying to identify who it was. As soon as he realised the identity of that person, he licked his lips and started running towards him.

The man yelled once and started running away from Fiend!

Fiend was quicker though. He sidetracked his enemy and soon was onto him from behind. A huge lunging football tackle later, both were sprawled on the ground. Fiend didn't waste any time and brought the machete down.

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The machete tore into the thigh of the man, who screamed loudly in pain and rolled over. Blood started dripping out of his wound, as he grabbed at his HPs. Fiend got up and dropped the broken machete, and let out a long breath. My work is done, he thought.

The Krell was moaning and twisting below him, bleeding profusely as a hand pulled a HP to reach his wound.

She looked at her and signaled her to be quiet. She giggled inaudibly and nodded. Both of them peered over the bushes at the sight in front of them.

Bwind was sighing quietly. He had propped himself up near the tree he was attacked, and was soaking in the healing effects of the 2 HPs patched on his wounds. He was half-awake, and totally oblivious of the two pairs of eyes staring him down from the distance.

She motioned to her to go to the left. She smiled, half-mad in her blood-thirst, and moved left. She herself moved slowly towards the right.

Both of them moved very quietly together, and met up again at the same exact moment behind the tree where Bwind lay. She winked at her. She winked back.

Both of them slowly stood up, and were standing on either side of Bwind in an instant. Bwind had his eyes closed, his breathing slow and labored.

"Hi!"

Bwind's eyes opened in a flash. The surprise turned to immediate terror inside them. They smiled at him together, and their machete-holding hands came down aimed straight at his neck!

Bwind yelled and tried to get up. The blows hit him on the chest and the tummy.

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Two huge gaps immediately formed on them, pink at first which turned crimson in an instant. Blood spurted out from both of the cuts in long bursts, spraying the girls. They shrieked in delight, and laughed maniacally at the warmth of it. The girl on the left licked her lips, licking on Bwind's blood.

Bwind slumped down heavily, a long groan escaping his lips. A slow arm reached for his HPs, as the girls dropped their now-broken machetes.

The girl on the left looked up at Chronogrl and smiled. Chrono smiled back at Saytan, their thirst for blood quenched for now. Saytan looked at Bwind reaching for his HPs, and leaned forward.

"There's plenty more where those came from, darling. Mind your bloody stubs." Her voice was teasing and surprisingly delightful.

Bwind screamed. Both girls giggled loudly together.


FreddyMyers thought he heard something rustling on the bushes on his right. He knew he was near someone. But was it a target or a hunter, he was not sure. He stopped moving and lay down in an instant, turning to his right. The legs moving towards him stopped too. Freddy cursed silently, knowing that some sound he had made had given his position away. The legs stayed where they were, and Freddy crouched forward. He craned his neck to see who it was.

Freak had stopped moving, and was looking directly ahead with alarm. Freddy saw his chance, and lunged forward. He swung hard without seeing.

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The machete ripped through Freak's side, almost cutting him into two pieces. Freak gave out a loud shriek instinctively reaching for his side. The blood spurted out of it through the gaps of his fingers. Freak looked at it and gasped loudly. Freddy looked at him, delighted at the damage he had inflicted.


Dude Guadalupe heard a loud sound from somewhere near him. It was more like a sound of delight than a scream of pain, he deduced, as he moved towards the source. He saw the outline of a figure high-fiving himself into thin air pass him some distance on the right and recognised it as The Return. He's done his hunting, Dude thought. He kept moving forward.

Groundzero lay on the ground, moaning softly. His parka was loosely flying in the breeze. Dude walked over to him and stood there for an instant. Groundzero froze at the sight of him, then looked up at Dude.

"This is for my Cradle of Filth CDs!" Dude said softly, audible enough for Groundzero to hear him. Dude's arm rose up.

SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The blow caught Groundzero straight on his chest. Dude's hand was heavy, but Groundzero had luck on his side. The open cut started coughing out blood almost immediately, as Groundzero screamed. One hand of his reached for his HPs and he was barely conscious of patching one on his chest, before his lights went out.

He will remember that when he comes around, Dude thought and nodded. He turned and walked back towards the gates.

V, I am formally requesting a disqualification for Krell for non-participation, and a replacement.

Well, he was an active participant till the end of the second Challenge. Maybe he is experiencing computer issues, and still wants to be an active participant in this.

So I will wait for any sort of news from him till the next Challenge is posted.

Quality action in the zone, however...

Two teams swinging machettes at us and that's the best they could do? Damn, bring on the next challenge already. Payback is gonna be fun. I got my eye on some personal revenge too when I get my hands on a machette.

I'm guessing we're likley to lose the next challenge again though without a full team. We did pretty good last time, but its hard to make up for a missing participant.

PSST: Next time, it won't be machetes...Our weapons get bigger, better, bloodier and brutal-er (I know it's not a word, I don't care :p)

I just talked to Saytan, she said the storms are killing her internet...Both she and GroundZero are TRYING to complete their challenges, but they keep cutting off while trying to upload them...She's still giving it everything she's got...I'm sure they'll find a way to get their answers in, but I'm letting both of their teams know why there's a delay...I also think it's pretty awesome that she's so considerate, she doesn't wanna screw anything up for her teammates
