"Condemned 2" 7/10

Liked the constant change of scenery. And the mannequins in the hotel.

What i didn't like was the lack of horror in many of the chapters. The same way i felt about "Fear 1&2" and "Bioshock". More action than horror.

I prefer the "silent hill"/"fatal frame" style in horror games.

I didn't actually beat it but I caught the end of my 13 yr old son beating Halo Reach. The little fucker beat it in less than 15 hours.:eek:

was it on legendary?

Spiderman: Web of Shadows (PS2)

Very short, very easy and very simple. I do enjoy a good ol' side scrolling beat 'em up so I had some fun with it, I just wish there was a little more meat to it.

Apparently its much better on the current gen systems though...

Far Cry 2 last night.

Personally, I preferred 1. All the continuous driving through Africa's countrysides made the game pretty repetitive. (Get to bus station, drive out, encounter with patrols, fight and rob...again and again and again, etc.)

The missions were a challenge though, pretty tough to beat. And a great ending to boot.

The Dunia engine used for this game was fantastic. Some jaw-dropping shots of the sun rising and setting over the horizon had me in absolute awe.

Damn malaria...

I preferred one for many more reasons than what you've stated...#2 is just not my type of game...I'm hoping for an actual sequel to the first one, one day.

Yeh I know what you are saying, Cheebs. The first one had a great storyline and combined plenty of horror elements with fast-paced action (ala Return to Castle Wolfenstein). That's one main thing 2 lacked.

TBH it just didn't feel like a sequel. You could name it anything else and it would be just that - another Delta Force-like action game, with a big nod to the current state of affairs in African countries. Action gamers might have loved 2 but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Last one I finished was Far Cry funnily enough. The last few levels were fucking hard!

That's a shame you guys were disappointed with the second game. I've been looking forward to picking it up because I loved the first one so much. Still I'll give it a blast seeing as it's a cheap title now.

That's the problem most fans of the first had with it - FC2 is in no way related to, or anything like, the first one. They're both FPS games, they're both in a relatively open world, but while the first one is action/horror/scifi, the second is simply a military shooter with nothing weird or unusual about it...personally I don't even think they SHOULD have called it Far Cry 2 as it's no kind of sequel at all, and the gameplay is vastly different.
Maybe check it out on youtube before you bother picking it up, if it's not too late already...
I've heard more people relating to "Crysis" as a more similar game to the original FC.

I just finished "Enslaved - Odyssey to the West".
Despite a few minor issues, and the fact it's a relatively structured and linear game, I found it great fun, enjoyed the graphics and scenery, the action was ok, the storyline good, and the boss fights were really well done.
I would hope for a sequel...

I'll give it a spin anyways seeing as it's going for as little as $10 in a few places.

Still got a bunch of games to get thru in the meantime.

You should definitely give Shank a blast I think you'd dig it.

Last finished "Singularity".
Pretty good quality FPS in my opinion. Borrowed a little bit, but worked out it's own groove pretty well too.

Assassins Creed Brotherhood


I really enjoyed playing through the game.I like how once you get so far into the story you can recruit assassins and have then help you take out guards.Pretty good overall.

Resistance 2 - Really enjoyed it,interesting enviroments,good weapons,varied enemies and some really great bosses.

Dead Space - Loved it ! Really creepy settings,and the Necromorphs are great enemies.The weapons were really good to use,dismembering the enemy with mining tools rather than just blasting away with guns was great.
As other people have said,the final battle with the Hive Mind was a touch too easy,but that would be the only gripe I have with what otherwise is a cracking game.

Nah I haven't yet... didn't really play anything over December. Will probably get round to picking it up next time I buy a game.

Uncharted 2 - Exceptional game.

Heavy Rain - Again, brilliant.

Ive beaten the game but I somehow keep getting my arse kicked by my 10 year old lad on multiplayer. More practice needed.

I still need to beat this campaign, know what you're saying I get smashed by all my mates on it. Seems a lot of COD players play this game religiously not one of these games for the casual gamer, certainly not online it seems.

Defo, I dont find the online multiplayer enjoyable for that reason. Too many people take it too seriously.

Call of Duty Black Ops on veteran. Few trouble spots but rather easy for the most part.

Spider-Man - Web of Shadows.
Overall interesting enough storyline, the open world "sandbox" feel was great, the swinging and aerial combat is the best I've seen in a spider-man game as yet...Felt the missions were severely lacking in variety, though the boss fights were more often than not quite good.
I'd love to see this style of game, with the quality of "Shattered Dimensions".
Overall probably a 6.8

Bioshock 2 i was a bit late pickin this one up not nearly as good as the first but was good to go back to rapture again. Fingers crossed for Bioshock Infinity.

Super Mario World :p
One of the best games I've ever played. It does never get too old :D

I reckon I'll actually have to play Super Mario World one of these days...I've given it a go but never more than a few levels. Looks great though.

Plants vs Zombies on Nintendo DS. I have beaten it on Ipad and PC as well but I just had to have it for DS to :D.

So happy I came here in the perfect time to say: my last beaten game was Alan Wake. Don't know what you guys think about it, but I loved it. Gave me some of the best times I had playing videogame.

Bioshock 2 - Loved it,great game.

Fable 3

Horrible. These games keep going down with every new addition

GTA: The Lost and Damned. Actually the first Grand Theft Auto game I've played through entirely. Liked it a lot, very cool story.

L.A. Noire. Good story but the gameplay is boring and repetitive. I had to force myself to finish it and it takes a really long time to get to the point.

I actually thought Fable 2 was the best, but I do agree that Fable 3 was horrible.
