- Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment revealed that they will release Quentin Tarantino's ultra-revenge flick Kill Bill Volume 1 and Kill Bill Volume 2 on Blu-ray come September 9.

- Paramount Home Entertainment have pencilled in “Iron Man” for a Blu-ray Disc and DVD release on Sept. 30.
The movie, which will arrive at retail, will be in a two-disc special edition and single-disc version. According to the EzyDVD website, the 2-disc Collector’s Edition comes in limited edition ‘Iron Man’ helmet packaging. Paramount has not formally announced a street date for the hit superhero flick, which is the highest-grossing summer movie in the U.S. at $314 million, but it’s likely something will be reported on it at Comic-Con (Marvel Studios, the production company behind Iron Man, will pass out a flash drive containing a sneak peek of the Iron Man DVD at its Comic-Con booth, for starters). That will be followed shortly in October by “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”. It's worth picking up - released today. The first watch will make you think that it is maybe 20 minutes too long, but it's one of those films where the more you watch it, you continue to laugh at it and pick up more stupid funny stuff. The cast is great. It would be classified as a "Horror Mockumentary"...

PARAMOUNT PLANNING NEW FRIDAY THE 13TH BOX-SET
There has been speculation since the Friday the 13th remake came to life again that perhaps Paramount would go back and give us a decent F13 box set. Everyone knows the last release, which included FRIDAY THE 13TH through FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VIII: JASON TAKES MANHATTAN, was a piece of crap and carried barely any extra features and didn't even include the uncut versions of the films. Well, an inside source confirmed for us today that that’s exactly what’s going down! Paramount is working on a brand new, revamped Friday the 13th box set that will hopefully put their first attempt to shame. No word on any of the features yet, but we do know that there is a lot being planned. Of course the goal is to have it done in time for the remake’s release on February 13th, 2009, but only time will tell if that mark is hit. Stay tuned for official details as they come in very soon! |
