For sure, no snub on the movie taken. We love differing opinions here. I didn't flavor the Shining in the past, I probably know what you mean.

Speaking of the Shining. Interesting, these are some of the "big" horror films that didn't get selected this year:

The Shining
Carrie 1976
King Kong 1933
Nosferatu
The Invisible Man 33
Shawn of the Dead
Gojira (Godzilla) 1954
The Omen 76
The Howling
An American Werewolf in London
Dracula 31
Frankenstein 31

It's a good tournament, Sculpt. Both fun, interesting and enlightening.

Hope you make a sequel with all the movies in this tournament not being an option. ::wink::

Thanks! We do need more tournies. A tourney with none of these allowed would interesting. ::big grin::

Supposedly people are just coming around to liking Halloween 3. At least that's what I read on a few horror forums and horror sites. Because it was so different and didn't have Myers. But I thought that was the best part. I always thought it was crazy good since I originally saw it either on TV or VHS back in the day.

I was with the crowd that was dismayed about Halloween 3 because I was a big Halloween fan at the time it came out. ::mad::

Results for Round 2 Group A:

(If roshiq doesnt vote tonight, I'm calling it and breaking two ties: I think Body Snatcher 56 is a better horror film, going psychically deeper than Insidious. And the hardest choice to date: I'm going with the effectively horrifying TCSM over Hellraiser.

5 Evil Dead II (1987)
3 The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)

3 Carnival of Souls (1962)
4 The Evil Dead (1981)

4 Insidious (2010)
4+1 Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)

4+1 The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
4 Hellraiser (1987)

5 Halloween (1978)
3 Ju-on: The Curse (2000)

Great runs for Carnival of Souls and Insidious.

Running total for Round 2 Group B:

5 The Exorcist (1973)
1 Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)

2 Friday the 13th (1980)
5 A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

5 Dawn of the Dead (1978)
1 Get Out (2017)

1 Eyes Without A Face (1959)
6 Psycho (1960)

3 The Fly (1986)
4 Candyman (1992)

I’m not even sure any of those would be in my next top 10.

Well, on second thought, maybe The Shining and Werewolf in London. Surprised Bloof didn’t pick that one.

Angra 11-08-2020 09:18 PM

Sinister
The Lost Boys
The Innocents
Aliens (tough one)
Poltergeist
