I honestly don't know how to feel about this

I really don't either. I would love to see a great adaptation of IT and I do have hope. The fact that it will be split into two movies may allow enough room to really tell the tale but until I know the script is staying true to the story I will remain skeptical. A few years ago they were in talks to remake IT but the studio wanted it to be just one movie and the timeline had changed so that the Losers grew up in the 80's and were adults in the 2000's. Those two things would have completely ruined it. If they try to do any stupid sh*t like that, I won't even bother watching it.

Tired of being tossed around hearing about who is and isn't directing this.

Me too but boy it's long and taking me a while even in ebook form so I haven't the excuse of needing my specs.

Apparently Bill Skarsgard.

Kind of an odd choice if you ask me. Sure, he will probably look creepy as a clown but can he SOUND creepy as well? And he's very young..

I have mixed feelings when it comes to remake, but I'll give it a watch just for curiosity sake.

Dislike remakes 99% of the time. Watching anyways just for fun.

100% for me...
Then again I enjoyed the step father 3 remake. So actually yeah 99%

So is the remake going to have all six boys having sex with the girl, or are we all going to pretend that isn't a big part of the book? Or are we going to bump all of the kids up to 18 year olds, like the US version of "The Returned"? I think this particular bit of quicksand is what keeps stalling the remakes on this one. And I agree, the bit at the end of the TV movie, with the bicycle? Truly awful. Makes you throw things at the TV.
