I will be honest here, I was sucked in, right up to almost the end but I couldnt get it out of my head that, in a state of sheer terror and panic, the camera guy WOULD have chucked his cam down and run like hell. How could a guy hold onto his camera, while running away from something that was obviously pretty darn scary and bent on harming - surely?? This thought alone kept intruding on me as the footage neared the end. But the ending.... oh the ending! It rammed shivers up and down my spine - sheer, delightful, nasty stuff :D Shame there were credits at the end!!! |
Oh, I love The Blair Witch Project. Fantastically original, sheerly brilliant filmmaking.

I love the Blair Witch Project too. I saw it about 3 times in the theatre when it came out and at the time my BF and I were camping for most of the summer.
Even though it is not all blood and gore and you don't actually see a witch or anything the point of the movie is very creepy and yes they did a great job building it up making everyone believe it was real. Even when I found out it was not a true story I still love it just as much. I think the second one really sucked though. |
i loved the first one, but i couldn't even get through the second one, it definetly sucked

I never believed it was real, but I do think it was a good idea to present it that way. I think The Blair Witch Project is quite clever, and unique, for the time. I mean it was released at a time when most people seemed to want to SEE everything, and have every little thing explained to them, it is among the few movies where you actually have to use a bit of imagination. And yes, I do think it is creepy. But it pretty far from a perfect film, some of it is just annoying. Overall though, I liked it quite a bit.
