Since Haunted won't argue with people on the internet - I'll just ask a few harmless questions:

1) in what ways does making the case for a different interpretation of a film constitute "treating people in a patronizing manner" (the definition of "condescending")?

2) why does the stating of a different opinion threaten some people so much?

3) why do people take differences of opinions as personal attacks (e.g., "condescending to ME")?

I offer these not as arguments but merely inquiries towards understanding the human condition more fully.

i had a teacher names mrs newt when i was a kid ..

and yes .. she was old and flabby and looked like a newt.

too bad i was too young to know what a newt was at the time or i would have made her life a living hell.
