An okay movie, I liked the concept and the twists towards the ending, but it was a lil too boring overall.
Last 40-30mins or so is great though! And the story through the film is also nice, but things is happening too slow.

3/6

I've noticed that a lot of people seem to say the opposite of you. They loved the beginning and then think the ending turned into a generic slasher mess. I for one loved the whole thing and don't mind a slow speed as long as its building to something well.

Watched The Thing...again.

I watched The Medusa Touch with Richard Burton and Lee Remick last night, fantastic show great special effects. Burton was awesome, he plays a good weirdo.

totally agree, but it was a lil too slow imo. just 10-15 cut off and it would've been perfect. Nothin' big. ;)

I'ma change my rate to 4/6 after thinkin' it through - Don't get why ppl don't like the ending, it's great imo.

ABjerg 07-29-2011 04:53 AM

It is a lil, but the concept is cool, and the last 30mins is exciting and have some good twists at the end. ;)

Not amazing, but worth the watch.

Nothing wrong with that, everybody has different opinions. I did think the "getting better/getting to know each other" scenes dragged a little bit but it was essential.

I liked how they used a roller coaster accident in this one since a lot of people are afraid of them. However i thought the scene of the accident was a little disappointing. I liked how they referenced the first one and even the second one briefly. The camera thing was a nice touch as i think they should all have their own little gimmicks. I didn't really like the ending as i hate skip-aheads and so far all of them have used this idea. But when i started watching this all i was looking for was some mindless violent fun and that's exactly what i got.

Exciting and fun. The best superhero movie i've seen this year and easily the best of the Avengers movies.

I really think this movie is really one of my all time favorites.... it has soo many of the qualities that i like in a good Suspense film. Such an Outstanding film, i just wish they showed more of what really happen before the story.

Along with Predators, I also watched The Company Men (very good) and Robin Hood with Russell Crowe....I think I lasted about 45 minutes, what a snoozer!

Cowboys & Aliens
http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/...R00214317_.jpg

There was a slight twist near the end that i thought was stupid, the aliens came to Earth to collect gold but no reason why is given and the aliens themselves look like Battletoads. But despite all that, the acting, writing and action were good and it was a fun movie. I liked it.

What did i spoil? That they wanted Gold? How does that ruin anything? I said there was a slight twist but i didnt say what it was or anything.

The Good Shepherd

I was stuck at my friends house this morning and needed something to do. This was the only movie of her's i hadnt seen. So keep in mind that i wasnt really interested in seeing this. It kept my attention but i found it boring and slow and i couldnt understand what was going on most of the time.

Re-read your post - the way you wrote it made it sound like that was the twist. My mistake.

I hated Scream 4. It felt more like a parody of the other ones then a good sequel.

Room 205: I recently picked it up at big lots for only 3 dollars and when watched I was pleasently amused. The first half drags a bit but when it gets to the second half It is a great thrilling rollercoaster ride. Grade: B+

I didn't hate it, but I thought at very least after this long a killer with a half decent motivation would have been written in...I mean it was bad enough in the case of the third one which I particularly dislike as well - I mean COME ON...some long lost brother with abandonment issues?
Wouldn't Sidney just have sympathised and agreed "yeah, that was fucked up of our mother...", being at the loss of having never met a brother, knowing he was lied to as well?
You'd at least think that since the killer seemed to show a bit more intelligence and balls than the former killers, handling everything on his own, being right at the scene of a few of the murders and pulling it off, you would think that maybe, he'd at very least consider the situation before deciding to kill her.

As for the killers motivation in the fourth one...complete shit...even worse.
That said I didn't mind it, the whole scream franchise has been taking the piss one way or another so that it came off as a parody is fine by me...in my opinion scream did "scary movie" before Scary Movie did, SM just did it in a way that was "scream for dummies".
But yeah I'd have liked for a half decent plot to be there fourth time around, to lift it from the third one, but, nope, didn't happen.

Personally I haven't really liked a Scream movie since the second.

I agree with you on all of that. I think my biggest problem was i love the first one, liked the second one, didnt like the third and since hearing about the fourth i was really excited and had a lot of expectations going in. That was essentially my downfall. I'm sure if i hadnt hyped myself up so much i probably could've enjoyed in on some level, or maybe not. Maybe it really was just that bad. There really was nothing i liked about it especially the killer. Definitely the worst of all three.

Yeah the last part was pretty freaky although the digging scene went on way too long. I actually fast forwarded.
