A Nightmare on Elm Street 4, lulz, they get worse and worse. :D

zOMGbies 07-19-2011 05:01 AM

The Butcher. I wasn't expecting much before I watched it, but I really enjoyed it.

It was enjoyable just like the others but i was upset that they messed up the Elder Wand ending. I felt that was important when i read the book and either they changed it for their own purposes or just didnt understand it. Either way, i was unhappy. But i liked the movie for what it was just as i enjoyed the others.

I thought the Butcher was incredible

The Mummy's Shroud

I cant say I enjoyed this one at all, a couple cool scenes but for the rest hour and twenty minutes it was sooo slow

The Mothman 07-19-2011 11:00 PM

Dead Snow
Machete
loved these two, highly entertaining.
House Of Blood
decent effort from Olaf Ittenbach. Jurgen Prochnows career must be in the gutter if he agrees to act in these kinda films though.

I've always seen the DVD around, always been intrigued by the cover but assumed it was shit, gonna try it out now.

zOMGbies 07-20-2011 04:57 AM

The Tunnel
I heard good things about the movie and was really interested in watching it. Instead of watching it online, I decided to buy a copy and I'm glad I did. It reminds me a lot like Lake Mungo, by showing the footage they captured and also interviewing them. I thought it was great movie and could watch this many times. I'd definitely recommend watching it.

I liked Dead Snow but i thought Machete was horrible. One of the worst movies i've ever seen

Murder 2 (2011)

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...c/murderII.jpg

Had a nice little trip to Kolkata, India from July 15 to 19 with friends. Saw couple of films in the theaters but this one surprised me...an uncredited loose remake of Korean thriller The Chaser! In compare to other Indian remakes of foreign films this one actually wasn't that bad. They have made some changes in the storyline which focused more on the 'relationship' between the hero (ex-cop) and his girl...the heroin, played by a hot Sri Lankan Model.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)

Yup...better than the 2nd part but still a mess.

I also watched Transforbers dark of the moon. I liked it. The best Transformers film so far in my opinion.
Yesterday watched Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht from 1979 I liked that one too though I have already seen it haha

Good luck to you watching part 5 that along with part 6 are probably the worst of the series. Luckily it gets back to form with New Nightmare.

"The Sons Of Katie Elder" (1965)
-John Wayne

Plot: IMDB
The Elder boys return to Clearwater, Texas for their Mother's funeral. John the eldest is a well known gunfighter and trouble follows him wherever he goes. The boys try to get back their ranch from the towns gunsmith who won it from their father in a card game with which he was shortly murdered there after but not before getting through the troubles that come with the Elders name.

Phantom's Review: One of Wayne's best 1960's westerns. Good acting, great story, plenty of action, some nice doses of humor and solidly directed by Henry Hathaway. Highly enjoyable for fans of the western genre.

The acting isn't very good and the ending is over the top and ridiculous but i liked it. Don't expect a masterpiece or anything though.

Kiss Me Deadly (1955)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ssMeDeadly.jpg

What starts out as a top notch, convention-bending film noir ends with a surreal, frightening, and apocalyptic climax. Absolutely incredible.

Kiss Me Deadly is a fantastic film. Its so fucking nasty and sleazy..DAMN.

[REC] 2

I didn't care for the direction they took with this one. To me, it had nothing to do with the first movie other than it took place in the same building.
