Results of Round 14 in The Hunting Season
The gates have been opened, and 4 smug-looking and very satisfied hunters trod back in. One of them has numerous Health Pack patches all over his body, so its safe to assume that he endured The Predator's plasma blast. But...he's alive. And then come in the hunted - weary, dog-tired, bleeding from cuts...as they come in and start sitting down, the count begins... 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... ... SIX!!! Which means - we have TWO DEAD BODIES in The Zone!! The Medics team has rushed in, to look for em. Let's rewind the timeline and see what events transpired in The Zone during the past 12 hours. |

The Timeline of Hunting in Round 14
The hunters broke off as soon as they entered in The Zone, and each of em took off in a different direction. - Hunter Dude Guadalupe went and climbed up the tree under which Murderdoll's body had been found. He had a plan and was thinking accordingly. Soon, a gray figure slowly walked under him, looking around and sitting down with a satisfied grunt. Just then, a couple of birds flew off in the distance...and Newb stood up, startled. His senses were tingling, and he decided to walk away. But he didnt get far. Dude took careful aim, and fired both of his rockets in quick succession!! Both rockets blasted on either side of Newb, and he was thrown like a tattered doll, behind some rocks in the distance. Innumerable cuts and deep gashes had sprung up all over him, which made his whole body crimson. He got his Health Packs out and started patching himself as quickly as he could. 10 Health Packs later, Newb sighed deeply and sat down. For he was alive, with 8 HPs left with him. Dude then took his six-shooter out and blasted Newb twice again!! A surprised Newb got up and ran from that place, patching himself up again with 2 more HPs. He was fit, with 6 HPs remaining. Dude smiled and gave out a whoop of happiness. But, unknown to him, The Predator was looking on at the proceedings. It aimed it's triangular lasers right at Dude's head, and fired. Dude heard a thump in the distance and suddenly swerved around, catching the plasma blast full in the back and shoulders. The impact threw him down from the tree and he fell down on the ground below, his body bleeding profusely. Bits of flesh dangled from his right shoulder...as he yelled in pain and crawled behind the tree. He took out his HPs and used up 15 of em to patch himself up good. Dude was alive, but now left with 25 HPs. - Hunter Rayne looked on from the distance as Dude made mincemeat of Newb. She licked her lips with an evil grin and knew this was her chance. A busy Newb patching himself had no idea someone else was keenly looking at him. As soon as Newb ran from Dude's area, Rayne zoomed in on him. She didnt give him a second thought as she fired her first rocket!! BAM! Newb heard something behind him, but before he could fully realise what was happening, the rocket thudded into his back...carrying him forward. He landed heavily on the ground and grabbed his remaining HPs in a hurry. Patching himself quickly, he wasn't aware that Rayne had one more rocket left, which she had loaded in between and was waiting. Newb had 1 HP left with him now. Rayne looked him over, and fired! BAM! The impact caught Newb straight in the chest and it burst open, spraying blood and chunks of flesh everywhere. A single HP wasn't good enough to heal his otherwise fatal wounds...and Newb fell down. He sighed and looked at the setting sun, and slowly closed his eyes. NEWB IS DEAD!! Let's see what the other two Hunters did... |

- Hunter Urgeok found a dark cave and sat down slowly inside it. He looked around and heard some rustling between the trees. He sat up and peered ahead.
Austin broke through the bushes and walked forward, casting quick glances behind him. Urgeok silently picked up his Rocket Launcher, pointed it at Austin, and FIRED!! BAM! The blast caught Austin unawares, and he was thrown back. Almost immediately, numerous deep gashes filled his entire body and he was bleeding heavily. He patched himself quickly with 5 HPs, and became fit again. Urgeok watched Austin getting thrown back from the impact, and slowly walked out of the cave, following him. Austin had hid behind a tree to patch himself, and now he was a sitting duck. Urgeok gave him no chance to recover, and he fired his rocket at point-blank range! BAM! Austin had gotten up to run, but the impact of the rocket was severe on his back. He fell forward and crawled on ahead, plenty of blood pouring out of his wounds all over. Urgeok threw his empty rocket launcher away, satisfied. Austin used up 5 more of his HPs to heal himself. He was fit, although bleeding and sore, with 7 HPs left with him. - Hunter Zero had climbed up his favorite tree. He was checking out some birds in the distance when he heard the firing of the rockets nearby. He knew someone's goose was getting cooked, and grinned to himself. Poor Austin! How was he to know that in his stumblings he had walked right into Zero's range!! Zero caught sight of him, and without wasting a moment, fired!! BAM! Austin never knew what hit him. Too tired and bleeding, the impact of the blast just picked him up in the air and threw him straight into a tree. He fell down heavily again, his wounds becoming deeper and his face going deep crimson. Hastily, he took out some HPs and treated himself with them. He was fit, although bleeding from numerous wounds, with 2HPs left. Zero didn't give him a second chance. The second rocket was loaded in a jiffy, and Zero fired! BAM! Austin's hearing stopped. Everything went into a dizzy whirl. He had no sense or idea of where his body was headed...all he could think of was the intense pain. His mind cast back images of the people he had hunted down in The Zone himself, and when he landed...he used up his last 2 HPs on some cuts. He was alive, but Severely Wounded. Bleeding, sore, tired...Austin fell down. Zero climbed down from the tree, and walked over to where Austin lay. The redhead hunter looked down at the severely wounded cowboy, and smiled. He took his M16 Machine Gun out, and pointed it straight at Austin's head, right between the eyes. In between deep heaves for breath, Austin opened his eyes and looked once. He closed his eyes again, silently accepting his impending doom. Zero pressed the trigger twice!! Both bullets entered Austin's skull in rapid succession, frying his brains. The redhead roared in satisfaction... Austin316426808 IS DEAD!!! I will let all of you recuperate through the night. Rest well, remaining contestants. Challenge #15 will be up sometime tomorrow morning. |
The Reward Chamber
Dude Guadalupe won Challenge #14 and made a trip to the Reward Chamber. He was given 3 envelopes to choose from, and choose Envelope #3. It contained a piece of paper inside it which said "5 HPs and 6 bullets"!! Accordingly, his Health Packs stand boosted by 5 and he gets 6 more bullets for his Six-shooter. The ones he didnt choose were :- Envelope #1 - which had 10 HPs and 2 Rockets, Envelope #2 - which had 3 HPs and 8 shotgun shells. |

Just a thought... Is it possible for the challenges to be posted later than they are? I'm gone all day and when I get home a lot of people are already done... Making the hunting zone a wishful dream.

it doesnt matter to me - it's tough at night or in the day - sooner or later i'm going to get burned.
I got lucky today because i had a break just after the challenge was posted .. i think half the people can do them in the day - but not at night, and the other half - vice versa. and then there's rayne - who is here 24 hours a day .. (thats why we have to take her out !!!!!!!!!!) |
I think we should be able to pick a time that we can all agree on. Otherwise the game will end up being bias towards those who can be online whenever they choose.
