The Amazing Mr. X

What a cool movie. So much more than your typical B horror flick, loved every second of this one. The plot would be very easily spoiled, so I wont go into that, suffice to say it's very interesting and well-done. On top of that, the ending is great. Turhan Bey was great in the lead role, I'm definitely going to track down some more of his films. He commands the screen, makes each scene his own. Great presence, put simply. The rest of the cast is good enough as well, though they pale by comparison to Mr. Bey. The score is beautifully haunting, and sets the scene perfectly throughout the film. I highly recommend this movie.

8.5/10

Wolf Creek- 0.5/5

God damnit! This was going to be my saving grace! But no, it's yet another shitfest for my movie slump! There wasn't much gore and I don't see how this felt like "real horror". It felt like a real horror watching it, as my hands slowly gripped my neck, just trying to choke myself so the pain would go away. But, that's about it. And so continues my movie slump. Fuck!

BTW- Return, I'll probably watch something like Die Hard or something good like that later. But, I'm not going to count it against this mvoie slump. This slump is only for movies that I'm seeing for the first time (or checking out twice because I didn't like it the first time but feel it deserves a second chance).

I just finished watching Return of the Living Dead:Necropolis. I actually really enjoyed...the blood effects. The movie was a terrible excersise in amateurish film making.

The actors were hysterically awful, there was no conflict resolution. The main(ish) character just gets crapped on constantly and overacts his little heart out.

Blood was great, movie sucked.

Now I have to burn my eyeballs.

You'll be spoiling for a fight 20 minutes into it,I know I was.I highly recommend it.

Actually, I've had a pretty good day as far as movies are concerned. Although overall I am off to a lethargic start today.
