What's the latest? Did Ferret send the package to Villain?

The Villain 09-11-2011 08:51 AM

I never heard from him after i posted that comment

ferretchucker 09-11-2011 12:21 PM

Aww, shit! Sorry! Never saw that. Yeah, I'll be happy to send it on. Send your details and I'll have it shipped out by the end of the month at the latest.

The Villain 09-11-2011 12:23 PM

It's cool man. No worries. I'll PM you my info now.

Was there anything good in there? I felt so bad for you having to wait, literally, years for a package to come your way.

ferretchucker 09-12-2011 01:33 PM

V did a post a while back where he wrote it all out in white. Take a look. I was very pleased :)

newb 01-12-2012 11:29 AM

That's the last I heard on Package #2; Ferret was supposed to send it to Villain.

Package #1 and #3, still with Gorephobia and Flayed, respectively.

Keep trying Newb.:D

hammerfan 01-12-2012 12:05 PM

I wrote a message on ferret's Facebook wall.

It'll be interesting to hear what happened. The saga of these packages has been a fascinating study of every excuse in the book.

Yeah your dead right! I've been keen to jump on board with this a couple of times but it always seems to get fucked up and people pull out the "I've been busy or [insert clichéd excuse here]". It doesn't take 9 months to find the time to package up something and get your ass down to the post office

The Villain 01-12-2012 03:03 PM

As an update, i havent gotten shit :p

Typical. Ferret complained quite a bit about having to wait for a package, and then he goes and does the same thing to someone else. Sheesh!

Maybe if he would show up to do more then post a new picture of himself he would remember to send it :D

ChronoGrl 01-12-2012 07:02 PM

I'm still bitter about my package stopping at Flayed. Hrmph.

My recommendation: Handpick a group that you feel relatively close with and then
PM them the plan and agree to stick with it. Do it close knit. I tried to be fair and open to everybody, but clearly that was a mistake.

We're doing a cleaning overhaul this weekend; if anything good pops up that I want to send away, I'll PM a few folks who I know would actually participate and maybe we can do our own thing... Or is someone else wants to start it, be my guest - I know that I have at least a couple of quirky books I could send away...

Elvis_Christ 01-12-2012 08:23 PM

Good idea Chrono!

Yeah, I think so too. Probably best to stick with people that have actually sent packages in the past.

The package will be on it's way to Ferret in the first week of July. But Ferret, you must promise that you will pass it on.

Be prepared for a few surprises!

The Package will be out and on it's way to England on Monday. Be ready to receive it, Ferret. I hope you find many cool stuffs for yourself!

Came through today! After 8 hours working at the hell-hole that is McDonald's, I returned to find the eponymous package atop my bed. Loving the contents - hoping my contributions will be equally favoured. :) Thanks guys!

TheWickerFan 01-22-2012 12:03 PM

Ferret, you might want to look at this.

Sistinas666 01-22-2012 12:14 PM

I believe I will start a package, nothing special, just 2 or 3 things that I will be willing to ship to someone in the states(I can't afford international). I agree with Chrono and only want to start it with someone I feel is responsible and so on. Send me a pm if you are interested.

I call this Responsible People Package V 1.0

ferretchucker 01-25-2012 11:58 AM

Really am terribly sorry about the state of affairs at the moment. The package remains on my shelf, I have taken that which I desire from it. I had intended to send it before Christmas - of course, money to go to China was needed so I was pretty poor then. THEN Christmas came, NOW I'm paying to go to Denmark (I signed up for all of these long ago). On top of that, I'm currently paying £60 in petrol every fortnight just to get to school and back. I only work 2 days a week because of school and in short...I have VERY little money.

BUT, I've just checked prices and cracked into some of my reserves...should be out soon. Again, very sorry to let you all down!

TheWickerFan 01-25-2012 12:24 PM

One excuse down...

ferretchucker 01-25-2012 12:49 PM

Just payed for the delivery with "Courier Point" (Royal Mail is appalling for prices) - didn't want to wait to ask your name, so you're now "Theodore Villain".

EDIT: They'll be picking it up next Wednesday, as my Mum will be in all day.

The Villain 01-25-2012 03:02 PM

Theodore Villain? I kinda like that. Didn't i give you my name though in the PM?

Either way. Glad to see it moving along. Thanks Ferret

Nah, afraid not :p No worries, it should find itself to you safely enough. If it leaves here on Wednesday hopefully you'll have it within a week :) Glad to see it moving too :p

ferretchucker 02-01-2012 01:59 PM

Package has been taken...it is out of my hands, now.

Cool. I'll let everyone know when i've gotten it.

The Villain 02-02-2012 07:31 AM

I'm happy to report that i have received the package from Ferret! I'm a little unhappy to report that the package was in terrible condition and several items inside were destroyed. I'm sure this was a shipping problem and not at all Ferret's. Anyway i've removed the broken items and taken what i want and added some of my own. I will be switching the box when i send it out though. So whoever wants it now just let me know.

Gotta love the postal service. I'm sorry you received it in such crappy condition. :( But, I am glad that you finally got it!

Only a few items were broken. There was still some good stuff in there.

So let's keep this thing going!

hammerfan 02-02-2012 09:09 AM

Who's up next?

_____V_____ 02-02-2012 09:50 AM

Seeing the history of the 3 packages, I doubt anyone will raise their hand immediately for this one.

The original list had MissMacabre next, then The Return. Since both of them are pretty much staying off HDC, anyone can come forward to claim this.

However, I am interested in what Ferret kept for himself from the stuff I sent to him. Can you PM me a list of the stuff you got, Villain? Both broken and unbroken?

(specially interested to know if the Hindi Blockbuster DVD I put in the Package has made it's way into the States)

ferretchucker 02-02-2012 11:58 AM

@TheVillain - I'm amazed it came so quickly! It was picked up from my house at 7:00pm yesterday. Really sucks that stuff was broken, though :( I knew that Courier service would have a catch

@V - It's been so long since I took stuff out of the package that I can't remember everything, or I'd send you a comprehensive list. However, one thing has proved quite useful in terms of wider reading for an essay I'm doing on The Call of Cthulhu! Knew it was a good idea to take that one out! :p

I'm surprised too. It's okay the stuff was broken. I still got some good things out of it. I sent V the list of what was in it.
