HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A 13-year-old Hampton girl is in police custody today for allegedly reaching out to a person on social media to kill one of her teachers.

Police say the person she contacted was using a clown image as their profile picture as well as their alias. She allegedly reached out to this person to murder a teacher at Davis Middle School.

“The profile that she contacted actually was using a clown as a profile picture and also using a clown related alias,” Officer Ashley Jenrette of Hampton Police said.

According to police, a dispatchers received a call Sunday evening about a threat being made on social media.

The 13-year-old girl arrested in this case has been charged with threatening to kill by electronic message. She is still being held in police custody.

A clown was arrested in Dallas a couple of days ago. He was told it was for his own safety. Shits getting real. Lol.

School officials say there's no indication the incident poses any real threat to students at this time.

Up here in Canada in my small village outside of Ottawa, people have been having some weird experiences and are actually referencing the clown phenomana. So I may have to assume my "ultimate form" after all.
