Terry Gilliam's greatest film. A true cinematic masterpiece of absurdist wit, social satire with an underbelly of something truly sinister.

Rent it immediately but avoid the "Love conquers all" version. It was re-edited by the producer Sid Sheinberg who quite literally hated Gilliam's film and chopped it up into a different (and terrible) film.

i have the criterion box set - terrys cut.

weird coincydink .. i transported the last of my book collection today (stored at my father in laws) and in the top of one of the boxes was the book : Brazil ... sort of a screenplay book.


re the spoiler ... thats true ... unless you dont have a problem with solitude ..


i could definately do the solitude thing for a couple of weeks a year.

desert island, box of porn, kleenex, and a big bag of cheezies.
