From what I've seen (not that trailer) it seems to follow the plot of the original pretty closely.

Looks to me from the trailer that this will be a pretty faithful remake. I bet it's pretty hard hitting to some, especially those who couldn't take or didn't see the original.

Well it looks like it'll be missing the "camp" from the original (the goofy music etc...) that helped pull the first film back from really staying in that dark place that Craven had created. As far as the GnR cover goes, I kind of dig it, a much different vibe than the original and it's nowhere near as good but it seems to fit a different mood pretty well. Better than Crow's version for Big Daddy that's for damn sure.
