Those that have a PS3, Kula World (among an increasing number of other PS1 titles) is available for HardDrive download.
Yeah, it seems a bit slow by todays standards but it's a fun, challenging game.

How does the PS1 emu work for you in general?
Easy to find games and all? Any 2p support?

I thought I'd hit up this thread to keep it alive.
Latest flashbacks, guys?

I've seriously wanted to get into some 2P bomberman world, beat em ups as well...maybe snow brothers, heh.

www.getyourroms.com (i think) is also a pretty good site I've used.

so, to drag this one back to life...
*N64*??
I've found roms.
I know n64 emulation can be done quite well, as a few years back I knew a guy that had one on his pc...which isn't half as powerful as the one I have now...but it worked fine on his pc.
So, I downloaded an emulator called "project 64" and everything looks fine initially, but during the video sequences, and the gameplay, the sound goes to complete shit, all bitsy and delayed, and sometimes the picture appears jumpy too...so I either don't have it set up right or this obviously isn't the same emulator my mate used to use.

So, anyone had success with n64 emulation?
Suggested emulators?
Success with generic controllers? Suggestions?

Project 64 worked for me once I fiddled with the bios roms and graphics settings. I play N64 roms with an XBox 360 controller, you have to config it a little differently for each game but it works.

Can you tell me if you've done anything with the sound settings?
What settings did you change exactly, because seriously, the sound's for shit, and the games slow down/catch up every few seconds.

Haven't thought much about the sound and I STILL haven't got a new graphics card so I don't think I can run it but I will open it up when I get home and let you know what I'm using. I'm guessing since you're using Project 64 you've downloaded the most recent graphics, sound, and controller plugin packs? The "1964" emulator is pretty decent too, worth a shot.

I found Project 64 to be dodgy as well... but I haven't tried messing with the settings yet. Maybe I can get it to run better, for now though there aren't any ROMs I want to play on the PJ64 that I don't already own for my actual N64 console. So I won't bother :p

I've only tried a few other emulators, I got a Commodore64 one once and it was pretty fun, but I prefer playing SNES games so the SNES9X is my friend. I do still have my console but there were a lot of games I never got to play as a kid that I can now enjoy...

Currently I'm playing a translation of Seiken Densetsu 3... Secret of Mana 3!
It's awesome so I'd recommend it to any of you who like 16-bit RPGs. You can find it in The Vault at Vimmslair.net :)

Oh yeah... and I got Dosbox (again, since this is a relatively new laptop) and I'm happy to discover it runs well on Vista

So I've been playing three games mainly.

Leisure Suit Larry (Hahaha! Such a classic.)
Blood
And my favourite... Reunion

I only have the SNES and GameBoy color emulators right now, but I'm not complaining!
I've pretty much got every game I could find for both of them.
