a little bit disappointed with Freddy vs. Jason

Jason began to turn "nice". I got no problem with that in particular, especially against Freddy-boy, but he lost some of the fear factor in him, apart from the fact (IMO) he looked different than in other films; I know it was a different actor but he just wasn't the "real" Jason.

You actually expected that to be a good movie though?

When they changed the tiltle from Jason vs Freddy, to Freddy vs Jason I should have known.

Have to say Freddy is NOT my fav character, maybe they should have changed the title to A Nightmare On Elm Street 5 or 6, or whatever number it would have been (guest starring Jason Voorhees, in a VERY minor role)

thats the key isnt it ...
Many of the movies mentioned here didnt exactly have any promise to begin with.
The ones you knew nothing about shouldnt have held much in the way of expectations either.

House of the Dead and RE2 were 2 huge dissapointments because you knew going in they would be zombie films.

Bloodless zombie films are pointless to make and will dissapoint anyone other than someone seeing their very first horror film.

Complaining that the TCM remake was a let down is like complaining that going to the dentist caused you some discomfort.

Exactly my point. You can't be let down, unless you were built up in the first place. (errr, something like that).

Definetly. My stepmom told me that people had ran out and puked because it was so scary. Personally, I thought it was fucking stupid.

Damn hate, are you serious!??

I can't see how ANYBODY could think that movie was scary or gross enough to puke
People weren't puking from fright. They were getting motion sickness caused by the camera swinging everywhere.

Anyway the Village was the biggest disappointment, and the worst movie, I have seen in years.

AMEN ... a stupid film from a clever filmmaker.

It looked like it would be amazing. It was amazingly bad.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA! Good Game!

Regarding The Village: I didn't even bother to see it at all after hearing all of the bad reviews. I guess I'll check it out at some point though.

Signs was weak ... i was hoping it was a blip on the turd radar but it seems to be his direction now.

I still think the Village should be seen for historical purposes ..
The end of a promising beginning - and all that.
