Blade Trinity...Again
The Amittyville Horror (New one) |
Nine Lives, a real clunker from around 2002 which features Paris Hilton and a bunch of Brits running around getting killed off in a haunted Scottish mansion. I apologize in advance for whoever ends up watching it. I was playing hooky from work this week and happened to catch it on Wednesday afternoon on one of the Showtime channels.

Dracula [1931]
Incredible movie. Absolutly amazing. Lugosi at his undisputed best. Renfield was great aswell, so was Van Helsing....heck, everyone was! All around great horror movie. |
Dead Men Walk [1943]
Pretty good movie. George Zucco puls off a great double role as a kindly doc and his twin brother, an evil vampire. Dwight Frye was great, pretty much reprising his Renfeld role from Dracula. |
asylum of the damned.
another poorly conceived, poorly written, poorly acted, poorly lit piece of junk with grade 10 highschool FX. i am damned from having seen it. |

Revenge Of The Sith....
I want to have a go of vaders suit. |

Im watching Dawn of the dead (remake) |
Quote:
yes I did.... more than expected, anakin becoming vader, and...... **spoiler maybe** ..... the way he was rebuilt and suited up, and then realising Padmae was dead, later followed by himself and the Emperor viewing the Death Star construction was bloody good... also at the end I especially liked the way the interior of the ship was designed in the same style and look as the original star wars films, good continuity, especially the grey uniforms and caps from the originals... remember Peter Cushings uniform etc. |

My opinion though. |

On the whole though, was an enjoyable film, that tied up nicely with the previous three, and dispite any plot holes, was glad I went to see it, since it's been around 22 years since I've seen any starwars film on the big screen :) |
here's the deal with the dialogue.
since the beginning (but moreso in the last few movies) the dialogue was somewhat intentionally corny - to sound like the old serial cliffhangers that Star Wars was - in part - modelled after. in the 1st couple of movies the leads were all played by hungry entheusiastic unknowns ... they put themselves into the roles with all they had and made the dialogue work. now in the last few films, not only has it gotten worse .. largely in part due to Lucas's obvious lack of interest in his characters ... but you've got seasoned veteren actors saying these awful lines .. like Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor ... they are incapable of making these lines work.. We already know them as actors and what to expect from them .. you cant go backwards with guys like these .. and Christiensen ... he's just a pitiful actor .. that's all there is to that. |
