does the big mac sauce really taste like the big mac sauce?
Yep. I mean the preservative content is probably a little different as the stuff in stores...they go through HEAPS per day...but the recipe seems much the same. I think it's a touch smoother.

If you like the BM sauce, usually what I do when I want some - I just go into one of the stores and ask for a side order in say a sundae cup or something. I've never had a problem getting it.

We do Elk, Boar, Ostrich, and once Kangaroo. We like to eat as many poor innocent animals as we can.
All just animals, innit?
I mean technically the ones that are eaten less have had it better for a longer time right without being widely farmed.

I've had venison (makes great jerky too), haven't had boar, I've had Emu which is probably easier to come by here than ostrich, kind of like a gamier turkey.

Of course Kangaroo as well - which I hate processed but if you get the "steaks" or fillets, serve it rare to medium, it's amazing. I'd recommend sitting it in some red wine and worcestershire and cracked black pepper for about an hour, retain the liquid.
Pre heated griddle pan, lightly oiled.
Salt the meat lightly when it's almost done, then sit it in a warm place.
Throw the liquid into the pan and cook down some. Makes a pretty nice sauce.

Nice, you're a no-nonsense meat and potatoes gal. That's my breakfast: a cinnamon bagel and coffee.

Blue cake with purple icing that I made with my granddaughter. I always have a plain cake mix and plain jar frosting in the cupboard for days like this and she chooses the food coloring. For some strange reason the blue cake/purple icing tasted orange!

Ooh, that sounds really good! What sort of cranberries? Full fresh, or dried?

Ill be having some local sausage pizza take out and Dr Pepper with a couple big icecubes.

cheebacheeba 02-06-2016 04:02 PM

Last night I had a flat bread roll with mesclun salad, kewpie mayo mixed with ghost pepper sauce, red capsicum, tomato, a little spanish onion, cucumber.
Also some shredded chicken breast that was slow cooked for about 8 hours in...yknow, stock, vegetables, a lot of ginger.
Pretty nice.

I also savaged a crispy skinned chinese bbq kitchen pork hock.
Now THAT is some delicious shit right there - if you have one of those "all kinds of meat hanging" type asian bbq kitchens around you, go grab some stuff, and if by chance they have hocks - get em.
It's like...having your own personalised mini pork roast without much meat, but great flavour and literally surrounded in crackling. Amazing.
