Platoon.
First time...good to see it wasn't boring and overrated like "some" movies of this kind. Very nice cast, decent performances all 'round.
Never really thought much of Dafoe 'til I saw this...

crazy raplh 05-20-2005 12:41 AM

Revenge of the sith. Wasn't bad good light saber fighting though.

ChEEbA 05-20-2005 10:17 AM

The part where they are flying away in the helicopters and see he is still alive is heartbreaking.

HappyCamper 05-20-2005 11:00 AM

I watched 'Zombie' aka Zombie2, and before that I watched 'Cabin Fever' , but between those two I tried to stay awake and watch Miike's 'Gozu', but I was just too tired, I'll probably watch it later today though.

in the movie i watche d a few days ago (Kate and Leopold) there was a scene where the Hugh JAckman character (a guy brought 100 years forward in time) was watching TV in amazement - and a scene from The Prisoner was on .. with the big bubble thing chasing after someone.

i remember that freaking me out as a kid

I never saw the show, but luckily someone explained the bubble to me so i still got a laugh out of it when they parodied it on the simpsons, when marge was trying to escape the cult compound.

Amalthea 05-20-2005 03:28 PM

Robots (2005) 8 / 10

hellfire1 05-20-2005 05:24 PM

revenge of the sith. could've stood to be way shorter cause at times i really felt those 2 something hours... but i enjoyed it a lot.

The_Return 05-20-2005 06:17 PM

DNA....Not nearly as bad as I expected. Sure, the actors were bad. Sure, it was a shameless ripoff of Predator for most of the movie.Sure, most of the effects were REALLY bad. But that was one damn cool looking monster. And the storyline was decent....overall, 6.5/10

The Mothman 05-20-2005 08:07 PM

just bought and saw for my first time Day Of The Dead.

Damn..that shit was hardcore. I feel a little queesy.

Agreed...It beats Crouchin Tiger Hidden Dragon by a mile...bout damn time someone put kung fu right where it belonged...

whole thing makes ya feel like the hero of a video game...kick butt kick butt kick butt lol

ChEEbA 05-21-2005 02:26 AM

I think if any of the rumoured "dragonball" movies ever actually DO happen, Stephen Chow has easily proven himself the man for the job, ESPECIALLY with KFH

That said, all those tht have not seen shaolin soccer also, really GOTTA go get it.

urgeok 05-21-2005 04:26 PM

well.......

it wasnt a movie but i just got back from seeing the musical Mamma Mia.

I enjoyed it ... (I'm a closet Abba fan)

The_Return 05-21-2005 05:41 PM

Star Wars Episode 1- The Phantom Menace earier today. As I havnt see Epi. 3 yet, this is the best so far of the prequel trilogy.... incredible effects, decent acting, and Darth Maul. Wonder if Darth Bane makes an appearence in Epi. 3:p

Tonight, I just finished "Agency", with Lee Majors. Decet movie...really obvious plot, but still pretty interesting. The copy I had had horrendus sound though...made it less enjoyable...

ItsAlive75 05-21-2005 07:46 PM

White Noise, watching it as I type.

TERRIBLE movie. Well, maybe not terrible.

urgeok 05-21-2005 08:50 PM

I have been hearing really bad things about this. Thinking I will just have to remove it from my Netflix list and wait for it to hit cable or something.

The Evil Dead was the last movie I watched.

_____V_____ 05-22-2005 12:04 AM

In The Cut.

Meg Ryan's take on a "Basic Instinct"

neither the bod nor the appeal...no wonder this movie came and went...
