Reviews I've read have said its a poor CPU port and its just various quests to kill people.

It really had potential to be a really great game due to the settings and an amazing soundtrack. Sadly, it lacks some important aspects, such as, variation in missions (yes, a lot of kill him, destroy that missions) and mostly a reason to earn money. You got nothing to spend Them on, which totally sucks, imo.

darkdetective 10-10-2016 09:16 AM

Been playing Mafia 3.
Great setting. Good characters and storyline. Fantastic soundtrack and fun gameplay.
Unfortunately it's somewhat repetitive in terms of the missions and sometimes the graphics can become wonky. Still a fun game though, I recommend playing it if you enjoy open world crime games.

That sucks. It looked pretty cool

Well I guess great minds think alike.... Or there's just not that much to talk about when it comes to the game.

I'm still enjoying playing the game... It could've been better though!

scouse mac 10-16-2016 01:54 PM

Gears of War 4, only just had a quick go but it looks better than ever and plays pretty much the same. Early impressions are good

Borderlands 2 with the wife

Gonna try to finish off Mafia 3 and then move onto Rise of the Tomb Raider and then hopefully sometime after that I'm gonna revisit two of my favourite games ever with the Batman Return to Arkham collection.

Considering it's close to Halloween, I wanna also throw in a playthrough of a horror game.
Either The Walking Dead Season 1 (The telltale game one, played it before but liked it)
OR Outlast (never played)

Which do you guys recommend?
Playing any scary games this Halloween?

I wanna get the Return to Arkham game. I loved the first two.

I might play Evil Within. Played Until Dawn recently though

Loved both The Evil Within and Until Dawn. Two of the best horror games in recent years.

My only problem with Until Dawn is that it's not really replayable. A game like that should offer more choices and more outcomes. A lot of the choices really dont matter and the story pretty much stays the same

Dead space for life

Guys, you must have heard about Dead space :)
Well it is one of my most favourite games (let alone horror games) and I wanted to replay it while making funny commentary.

So I made these scary/funny videos of me with all these whacky montages. It took me a lot of time to create them. I would really appreciate it if you let me know what you think. Here is the link

Stellaris

cheebacheeba 10-26-2016 01:17 AM

Gave up on "Until Dawn".
Looked forward to it quite a bit...not engaging to me at all.
Didn't care for or about the characters.
Wasn't interested by the "mystery".
Got to the "saw them in half" scene, which I was almost certain would be a turning point for me. Just did not care.

It was pretty much an interactive movie...and to me at least, QuanticDream did something similar to better effect (albeit thriller vs horror) more than half a decade ago.

Next up: The Division

"Resident Evil 7 - Kitchen Demo" PS VR

Without a doubt the most intense experience I've ever had with a video game (or movie for that matter). Truly unnerving.

This technology in movies will be a game changer for sure.

I was going to play the demo. But decided to wait for the full game. This will be the first VR game I play. It should be awesome. At least that's what I'm hoping.

Skyrim on the PS4

cheebacheeba 11-05-2016 05:39 PM

The Division.
So...good looking game. Saw the trailer a long time ago and really looked forward to playing this.
I turned it on. HUGE update. Took ages.
Then when I started playing I realised it was an online only game, co-populated by other players.
This is not what I wanted.

"Robinson - the Journey" ps4 vr

The single reason I bought the vr headset this early on and so far Robinson hasn't disappointed.

5 hours into it and the scenery has been quite breathtaking ever since I opened up the door to my space pod.

cheebacheeba 11-09-2016 06:04 PM

Robinson? Like Lost in Space?

I've been thinking about revisiting the "Saw" games.
I got a bit more than half way in the first, and really only just had a look at the second.
I found the storylines evoked the franchise quite well. The environments games were dirty and dreary as you'd expect and I found the first one to be quite atmospheric.

I always wanted to finish it and properly play through the second one...just that the first one was full of those damn pipeline puzzles, and it just seemed to me like a bit more variety would have worked rather than just one type of recurring puzzle that got harder and harder with less and less time.
I actually quit because of this.

If I track them down again, I will post about it I suppose.

I've also been playing a bit of "DUCK GAME" with my brother.
It's a bit like super smash bros I guess?
Two ducks (or more on multiplayer) Multiple environments. Multiple offensive and defensive weapons. Destroy each other.
It's fun.

Doom(4)
I feel like, I haven't become all that judgmental of games...but it honestly seems to me that in the last 5-10 years, the range of FPS games outside the COD/Battlefield formula just seem to be very hit and miss.

I mean I liked the Resistance series, I enjoyed Singularity, and really LOVED Bulletstorm. Those are recent enough I suppose.

Then there's just so many that I...do not feel at all.
Sadly, DOOM is one of these.
I was just not enthralled. Looks like a bit of an ugly game too.
Enemy design was just...meh...and while I can see they're going for "frantically run around and use the environment to add dimension to your combat", I never felt any real sense of urgency. Not much of any kind of storyline to speak of...to the point I played it anyway...The music seemed pretty uninspired given the series history.
Something about it just doesn't "feel" right.
So I played for about a half hour. Turned it off. I think I'll be giving this away.

I dunno...maybe I just have less time these days so if something doesn't immediately suck me in, it's very easy to put down.

"Final Fantasy 15" ps4

Feels like playing Final Fantasy in the world of Metal Gear Solid 5 starring the Ninja Turtles. Good game with a huge map and loads and loads of quests, but the characters are driving me insane.

Amalthea_unicorn 12-11-2016 03:42 AM

Action 52

Recently I've started to play is Resident Evil HD:Remaster. It is really horrible!I was shacking during the gaming process.::confused::Have you tried?it is constantly the real horror that is going to rattle nerves of every player!

cheebacheeba 12-11-2016 11:54 PM

I played the original waaaay back on PS1.
I *saw* and read about the remake on...gamecube I think?
So this is a remaster of that?
What format is it on?
I might check it out this time around.

I can't really get into any RE games from 4 onwards...I hate the perspective.
It's not that I can't stand any kind of evolution, but personally I thought the direction they took in "Code Veronica" and "Resident Evil Zero" perspective/graphics wise was much better than what they've done between 4-6.
I know. I'm one of very few people that doesn''t completely love RE4.

I'm ain't playing a game right now but the other night I was. it was gta v: online and I was playing it from then all the way into yesterday through morning and to the evening. and then finally got some rest. Didn't slept long. Got up and got something to eat and watch an episode of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, Season 3 from a free movie site called xmovies8. and then I eventually went back to bed. that's it. I do have an urge to play the game again but I'm so tired I may not be up to it right now. Hopefully soon I will. time to roll ::smile:: lol Cheers.

Is it that addicting. Plus how cool would a Tales from the Crypt game be?
