What movie am i thinking of? HELP

I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid...and I only remember 3 scenes. The movie took place in either a forest or jungle, and I believe it may fit into supernatural horror genre. anyway....one scene i remember is a man walked into a small cabin and saw a snake crawling through the eyesockets of a human skull. another scene is a man and woman are "going at it" on the ground, and before you know it, a knife (with no visible hand or body) comes down on top of them and kills them both (which makes me think it was some type of invisible killer), and the third scene is a man possibly in camo or green clothing sitting in a tree with a gun, and I believe the "killer" might have cut his throat. that's all i can remember about the movie. It wasn't slapstick horror or funny in any way....and it scared the everliving crap out of me. i hope someone has some idea of what this may be. you can email me directly [email protected]
THANKS! BTW i believe the movie came out late 70's early 80's

ANYWAY, I'd say with 90% certainty you are looking for "The Resurrection" starring Christopher Lambert.

Good looking out. Thought you had forgot. And, actually, quite honestly, I have not seen it. I just used to work at a video store, and I always got a kick out of any movie with Lambert in it. That guy is pure kitsch. One of the finest B-Movie actors around. I simply remember reading the back and later looking it up on IMDB and rottentomatoes.

Vaguely sounds like "The Serpent and the Rainbow," but I haven't seen it in probably about 15 years, so I can't say with any certainty. And that's only because there are a lot of snakes in it. And it takes place in Haiti. So, yeah, probably not it.

Good luck.

Trying to track down a film or two...

Long ago.....late 70's, I was about 8 years old and was up late one night watching tv hoping to come across a good horror film.

I was hoping someone could help me track down two films that I remember coming across that night.

The first one all I can remember was a scene where someone was driving and old 40's model black sedan or limo. They were chasing someone who was running on the road. As they got close to them a large blade sprung from the door and cut the victims down. The passenger in the car was a large man dressed much like a 40's gangster. That's all I can remember of the film. It seemed really scary at the tim but then I was only 8.

The second film I never saw but it was a trailer that came on during a commercial break from the above film. The trailer showed a painting of a hand and on each finger of the had was a severed head. The narrator said the film was so scary that they could not show scenes on television. For some reason I seem the remember the title as "guts" or "grits" or something like that. Again I was only 8 so I could be way off on the title but I am sure of the painting of the hand and heads...

Do either of these ring a bell to anyone out there?

Thanks ahead of time.....and good horror to you all!
