ISOLATION 2005
An Irish horror film about a genetically modified cow fetus. Strange premise to be sure, cows don't seem that threatening, but I thought it was filmed beautifully. The farmer and two young people camping on his property spend a stormy night trying to hunt the abomination down. |

Basically a BBC period piece and they always bore me. Its probably a decent tv film, but not for me. |
The Strangers (2008)
4/10 Masked killers stop by a couple's secluded house. Some nicely framed, lit and creepy shots. But the story got aimless and a little tedious. Didn't seem well thought out. Very poor character development, coupled with cliche and repetitive scenes. Often times we don't know what the characters are trying to accomplish, if they're succeeding or failing. |

Hardcore Henry I.M.D.B. Best video-game movie (that's not actually based on a video-game) ever. I really enjoyed this balls-to-the-wall, over-the-top-violent movie. It took several minutes for me to accept the POV style, but once I did I really enjoyed it. Adrenaline fueled, stylistic mayhem. Recommended! 8/10 |
