urge, you need to take up a new hobby to fill the void.

Have you considered heroin or macrame?

actually - i'm working on the house.

i sorted out my book collection (1st wave) and got rid of about 150 boxes of books.

Now i'm sorting out toys - almost done
then the elsectronics and genreal basement/garage junk.

then i finish cleaning up the garage and building a workshop

then i do the hardwood floors in the fron room and dining room

then i build a library in the front room

then i fix up the back yard.

i figure I'll have time to watch my movies in about 5 years from now.

i dont have any voids or time for hobbys !

Grabbed;

May
Teenage Caveman
An American Werewolf in Paris

I know the last two are "horrible", but I really, really like them in a campy sort of way. :p Teenage Caveman more then the other. I heard May was good, so I grabbed it too.

23$ total. Blockbuster. I thought they were used, but apparently not. Fresh packaging, cases, and discs. Not even tagged by blockbuster. :) I'll be picking up a few movies there every weekend from now on, I think.

I'm also grabbing Mars Attacks for 3.99$ tomorrow at FutureShop. Terrible packaging, but hell - I'm told its brilliant.

urgeok 08-21-2006 05:08 PM

i thought i'd go to my favorite junk place on a whim today - and made out like a bandit !

gem of the month : a 12+ old school gozilla .. you twist his head and he does the godzilla roar ..

mint !

also a Gargoyles piggybank ... you put money in and the guy moves around.

and .. a Beetlejuice car !

some other cool stuff too but those were the ones that made my day ..

$3.99 is a total steal. Agreed the packaging kinda sucks, but it's well worth it. Fantastic movie, one of Burton's best IMO.

Well my mother wanted me to go out shopping for school clothes today (Ugh). I got a couple new shirsts, nothing exciting. However, I did make sure to stop at Wal-Mart, Zellers and Future Shop, and did pretty damn well.

- Silent Hill (Canadian cover art is so much better than the US version)

- American Werewolf in London

- Land of the Dead (Unrated directors cut)

- Dawn of the Dead (remake, also Unrated)

- The Wicker Man (Original, mostexciting purchase of the day IMO
:D)

- Airplane

- Airplane II: The Sequel

- Rambo III (Now I have 'em all)

Im pretty happy.

Sure.

Its not alot different, but the simplicity really helps IMO. The American cover looks too cluttered and cheap.

i havent bought a movie in over a month

Phalanx 08-30-2006 06:38 AM

Search and destroy...I have no idea what it is, but it was in the bargain bin for $5AUD, and it's got Christopher Walken, should be worth at least that.

Garfield and friends volume 1 - 24 episodes. Also pretty damn cheap, video ezy sale.

Deliverance (same sale) for $10AUD. I've never seen it, but I understand it's one of those movies where people say "what, you havent seen it yet?!?", so I thought I'd get it out of the way.

Deliverance is a must see, if for no other reason than 100 diferent references in othe rmovies and shows will suddenly make sense. it is a good flick, though.

Bree and I had been together less than a year when we watched deliverance and sleepaway camp the same night. She hadnt seen either. How cool is she? 3 years after the fact, we are married with a kid :)

Yippee, yay! My Vampirella #37 arrived in the mail. This is the only issue of Vampirella I have ever had...never had the guts to buy it as a little kid. I chose this issue based on the cover art. Turns out it's a great issue with decent stories too. It's pretty good!

crabapple 08-31-2006 08:46 PM

Ten dollars plus postage. A mid-grade copy, about a "Very Good" or thereabouts. (Back-issues of this magazine are really pricey!)
