It was nice to see another person than Sandler in the lead role for a change, even tho he came in very close second. The guy playing the tall swedish/german guy was the funniest person in the movie, not the two leads. And then there was Paula Patton who was just really, really hot.

The story was so-so and kinda lost my interest halfway through as it wasn't really going anywhere. But the ending had a refreshing serious twist which is new for a Sandler flick.

i can't...i just can't. wanted to watch the western he put on Netflix but then saw some reviews......just can't warm to Sandler

Then don't. I do not believe this is the movie that will win anybody over.

The Others
I... I can't believe I'm going to say this... Shyamalan did it better.

But imagine you're a 14-17 yearold watching it. You might have a much different reaction. I think its actually good from that perspective.

I beg to differ. Being of said age and gender, when I first saw Gingersnaps, I recall not being fond of it at all. I put up with enough of my own "woman issues" in the real world, I wasn't interested in watching a girl go through hers too. A werewolf is often used as a change metaphor, but they take away the metaphor aspect when they have the frickin' change right in the movie. If anything it served as a double ''fuck you'' to the main character.

Didn't the narrator told you what you watched? :p

I think it's a good movie.
Original, cool scenery, decent score, "unhappy" ending,...
I actually wouldn't mind seeing more similar ones.

Want to say the ending was good, but the narrator kind of spoiled that a long time ago with the whole 'poses and is a shapeshifter' thing. Maybe I'm just not big on narration.

Screw reviews and critics. That movie's feckin' funny. Laughed out loud several times.
Best Sandler movie in a long time.

I really liked The Others. I even bought it but still haven't watched it a second time. Sixth Sense might have been better but I saw that one after The Others.

You're not the only one who got annoyed by the narrator.
When I was researching this movie I noticed other people with the same complaint. I didn't bother me. I thought was kinda helpful since I didn't have any subtitles.

Manhattan Night (2016)

Kind of Noir-like thriller, nothing great but not bad either. At least worth a watch for Yvonne Strahovski ::love::

Not alone. I've never seen a movie he's starred in that I liked. He's not funny.

Not funny, just annoying.

Yeah...it actually felt like a Bollywood film in Hollywood-disguise! The story, script all were more suitable for a regular Indian rom-com dance flick.

Not that bad but the story was a bit of a mess.
Too much going on but nothing I really cared about.
