"The Break-in" 2/10

One of those movies that loses all credibility thanks to the found footage style. Not that the movie would have been much better shot normally. ::roll eyes:: ::sad::

Yes, now I have. It was so-so. Actually it was quite ridiculous, the killer could've done his job nice and easy within the first 15 minutes. Rest of the movie was quite repetitive and to be honest, the first time I tried to watch it I lost interest after half an hour. But now that you asked I decided to see it all the way through. And it was nothing special, so thank you. Thank you to hell.

LOL! Well, I guess you couldn't have been in a bad mood both evenings.

Maybe I was just in a good mood, but I thought it was sharp, well paced and kept on the edge of my seat.

Of course he could have killed her when he was standing right behind her in the beginning... He's got a freakin crossbow! he's not into easy, he's into challenge, and chase. Did you miss that whole concept? Once you accept that, I thought it played out fairly realistic, padding in some of those messing-with-you horror concepts.

What liked most was it stayed focused on what it was. The character development was very focused... they just told you about things they were gong to use later on. Very Hitchcockian focus. You missed it, Chump!

I agree on both accounts! Loved Civil, irked at Ultron. And buddy told he thought Stark is an asshole.

SPOILER: Stark pulsar blasting Red Falcon in the chest for doing nothing but try to help was just the cherry on top for me. The reason War Machine fell was because of Stark's stupid ass call, NOT Falcon!! I honestly wouldn't give a shit if he dies in Infinity War. ::roll eyes::

This hit every spot for me. The FX, storyline, music and cast were perfect for this short film. And JVB is allbaddass. ::love::

House of Last Things (2013)

Not creepy or scary but still somewhat a strange ghost story with limited set up & production values. At the beginning it was little incoherent but liked the way with back & forth story line treatment it revealed the mystery slowly. It had few interesting ideas and wanted to be something big like The Shining but eventually fails to reach that height. Not bad for an unknown horror flick but don't expect too much.

De Poel aka The Pool (2014)

Though the revelation of the unknown horror or haunting mystery of the woods here was kinda unsatisfactory or quite cliched stuff but overall it was a pretty decent "there's something in the woods" flick from the Netherlands.
