From Dusk Till Dawn -

I finally watched the first episode, I didn't expect it to be a TV version of the movie. I thought the first scene with who I assume will be Santanico Pandemonium was really good. I was surprised that they went there with the snake. I've only seen that sort of thing in Japanese cartoons and something similar in the Kiss the Girls book that didn't make it into the movie. But after that I was drastically let down because the worst part of the original movie was the stuff with the brothers. And in this TV show the one guy does his version of George Clooney. From Dusk Till Dawn was the first movie I saw George Clooney in and I thought he was incredibly annoying in it. So they successfully captured that aspect for the TV show because I still feel the same way.

The best part of the From Dusk Till Dawn movie was the twist with the bar. I didn't see it coming at all. I remember just seeing the movie and not knowing anything about it. In the TV show we are getting all these teases with monsters and stuff in the background. I think Santanico Pandemonium or two of her girls are in the opening store scene. So there is no surprise. I wish they went on a different angle, perhaps other people that visit the bar. At least so far. Because I don't want to watch a TV version of the movie. And according to some episode breakdowns, they don't get to the bar until the sixth episode. Not sure I want to watch for that long and I might skip ahead.

I searched and didn't find a topic, does anything interesting happen between episodes 2 through 5?

I was skeptical about it because I love the movie. I was only able to get so far with the series on Netflix because when you get to a certain episode, it freaks out and it won't play ::sad:: I haven't tried to skip ahead cause I try to avoid doing that.

Basically, I feel that the tv show is a drawn out version of the movie; more background info, more character info, etc. Personally, I don't think you miss much from the beginning until you reach the bar. I think I may just skip ahead because I want to get to the bar (if Netflix lets me).

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 episode 2

After last weeks high paced episode, this was more run-of-the-mill. The usual getting from point A to point B and then back again in one piece. Quite forgettable.
