Yea, it was alright. Quite nasty.

Thumb resize.

"Anguish" 3/10

Has anyone managed to finish this movie without falling asleep? Anyone in the world? I highly doubt it.

It COULD have been a good horror movie as it did contain few moments of creative goodness. Sadly these few moments were drowned in a boring drama that was going nowhere about a boring girl you couldn't care less about. FAIL!!

Well, it is titled "Anguish"... Maybe your expectations were too low?

The Invitation

Surprisingly good. A bit predictable, but it does not ruin the film. Most of the acting was decent, it was mostly low key so there wasn't call for strong performances. Tammy Blanchard was the best out of all of them. The pace was good too. Lots of conversation which might turn people off, but it worked in this film. Sometimes it was the entire group talking and sometimes separate conversations. The film moved around a lot from each conversation so they didn't seem to drag on. I guess half of the very end, but not the other half which was great. Though Logan Marshall-Green really needed to trim his beard. It was too distracting, lessening the impact of his reactions. As always, purposely vague so as not to ruin the film.

6.5/10

Oh and also I think its a good movie to watch by yourself in the dark. Not to scare yourself, but to immerse yourself in the watching.

The Survivalist (2015)

http://i66.tinypic.com/9ifigj.jpg

Quite slow burn but a beautifully done, character driven dystopian thriller that centers around a man who lives off of a small plot of land in the forest but when two women show up looking for food and shelter, the game of trust, lust & betrayal begins and his existence become threatened.
