hey... did it seem like X 2 was kind of a middle story to you?... like empire strikes back? ... i mean it had plenty of action and stuff, it just seemed like something was that way about it... because i felt better about the first one
Ohh they will make a third one....thats why they made jean grey die at then end and it panned to the water and there was the shape of a pheonix....dark pheonix man, shes gonna come back all crazy, just you watch....

thEsounDofdirT 06-08-2004 05:03 AM

oh yea i know that... they even mentioned it on some of the special featurettes i think... but i'm just asking if it seemed like something was a little tiresome with the movie like most middle movies

Arioch 06-08-2004 06:15 AM

Oh there was plenty tiresome about that movie....better than the first, but plenty tiresome....

I bet thats exactly what happens, like in the Comics and shit. The Pheonix part, I mean. I liked this one a better then the first one at most parts. But I miss Sabbertooth. He was cool. The first one's battle scene's were more intense. I could almost predict every thing that happens next in X-2. And there was more introduction in the first one. Say if someone never even herd or seen X-Men before, they watch X-Men, they will know. But X-2 is one of those movies that you have to watch the first one to understand.

bloodrayne 06-17-2004 03:54 AM

Well...technically, Im not WATCHING anything...But, in the next room, I can SEE Creepshow...My son is watching it, AGAIN...He just started on Gates Of Hell last night...He's loving it...His words, "That was pretty darn cool...It creeped me out big time", and of course his favorite part was the oral evisceration/asphyxiation scene (Like mother, like son)..His comments on that were, "I loved when that girl was puking up her guts, and her eyes were all bloody and popping out, then she choked on her heart...That was really cool"...When he saw this for the first time, he said "This is so disgusting and disturbing", and he kept saying it as he went back and replayed that scene...Over and over again...lol...And another Fulci Fan is born  :)

Freddy Krueger. 06-17-2004 04:09 AM

Guess what I'm watching now... thats right, Silence of the Lambs, for the millionth time.

thEsounDofdirT 06-17-2004 09:19 AM

Damn good question. I wonder what the other directors were thinking at the Academy Awards when P.J. got up there to accept his Oscar. "Didn't he do that movie that made me sick for days?"

thEsounDofdirT 06-17-2004 09:27 AM

i still can't believe lord of the rings won for so much stuff ... i mean stuff like special effect... lord of the rings didn't touch f vs. j.... or texas chainsaw massacre... there were many movies it didn't touch... it had good Visual Effects... which was all the cg... but not much real creature and actual concrete special effects...

also, won for sound production... there was an entire host of movies that beat it in my opinion...

and how did johnny depp not win for best actor

I thought it was a good movie, too. I loved when that guy when to huge that woman and then he walks right through her and fell onto those spikes below. And the beginning when they all got sliced by the rope. People where falling intwo. It was awesome.

ShankS 06-17-2004 09:30 AM

I'm watching England v Switzerland in the Euro 2004

Comon England!!!

thEsounDofdirT 06-17-2004 09:31 AM

ghost ship was pretty cool the first couple times i saw it... but being it was from the same director and crew of thir13en ghosts.. i thought it was just about the same... and kind of relied on gore and effects rather than authentic scares... it wasn't bad though... especially for a newer horror movie

Unfortunately, horror films are not recognized by the academy. They're not "artful" ... just mainstream fluff.

thEsounDofdirT 06-17-2004 09:37 AM

f vs. j sure held it's own as far as kicking ass in the mainstream box office... and so did texas chainsaw... and that doesn't explain what happened to pirates of the caribbean .. or the last samurai

Speaking of werewolf films ... have you seen "Tomb of the Werewolf"? Talk about the worst horror movie ever! It was just released ... and the wolfman looks like the old Lon Chaney wolfman from the original film. It's more of a porn flick, with the hardcore stuff edited out at the last second.
