Anchor Bay Entertainment has officially announced a 3-Disc Ultimate Edition of The Evil Dead, which stars Bruce Campbell.
This classic Sam Raimi directed film will be available to own from the 18th December. Both anamorphic widescreen and full screen presentations will be included on seperate discs. The widescreen edition will include a commentary by Director Sam Raimi and Producer Robert Tapert, whereas the full screen version will include a Bruce Campbell commentary. Other features include a One by One We Will Take You: The Untold Saga of The Evil Dead documentary, some new Treasures from the Cutting Room Floor, a Life After Death: The Ladies of The Evil Dead featurette, a Ladies of The Evil Dead Meet Bruce Campbell featurette, and an Unconventional featurette with the cast and crew. The Abortion: Pathfinder Eda's doctor warns her against an abortion, since she is over three months pregnant. She decides to have one anyway. Months later, Eda discovers that she is being haunted by her unborn daughter. The ghost desires motherly affection and will not go away until she gets it! Saw IV Unrated Director's Cut
Lions Gate Home Entertainment has officially announced Saw IV, which stars Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson, and Betsy Russell. The Darren Lynn Bousman directed horror will be available to in seperate rated (95 minutes) and unrated (98 minutes) editions on January 22. Each will retail at around $29.95. A Blu-ray edition will also be available for $39.99. Each will include an audio commentary with Producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg and Executive Producers Peter Block and Jason Constantine, a second commentary with Director Darren Lynn Boussman and Actor Lyriq Bent, Darren's Video Diary, featurettes on the traps and props of the film, a SAW IV Music Video by "X-Japan", and a bonus deleted scene. The Weinstein Company and Genius Entertainment have announced the DVD specs for THE MIST, which arrives in a two-disc Collector’s Edition and a single-disc release March 25.

- Warner Home Video has announced 1-disc ($28.98) and 2-disc special editions ($34.99) of I Am Legend, which stars Will Smith.
Each will be available to own from the 18th March. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. The only extra material on the 1-disc release will be 4 animated comics (Death As a Gift, Isolation, Sacrificing the Few for the Many, and Shelter), and some DVD-ROM features. The 2-disc special edition will include all that, along with an alternate theatrical version of the film with a "controversial" ending. HD-DVD/DVD Combo and Blu-ray releases will also be available for $35.99 with all of the 2-disc features. The covers can be viewed here. |
