a pretty blonde with big boobs ............................and you hate her ?

i have that playboy by the way ...

Vodstok 02-21-2005 06:24 AM

I dont think she is all that pretty, and she is an evil, money grubbing bitch. Sadly, personality plays a much larger role than i care to admit in my attraction to women.

Not that i ever cared for Threes company (or any other sitcom for that matter), but she fucked all of her costars over pretty bad. She practically blackmailed the show's producers into giving her more money, then left anyway.

urgeok 02-21-2005 06:25 AM

ahhh see i never care to pay attention to that off screen crap ..

i just thought she was sexy in them thar pigtails.

christ i'm a dirty old bastard.

i actually found a book of her poetry in a junk store and sold it on ebay for a good buck ..

so if nothing else, she gave me wood as a kid, and money as an adult.

filmmaker2 02-21-2005 06:29 AM

I really loved that there "Knightriders" film. Haven't seen it in.....eek, maybe twenty years (has it been that long???), but I thought it was PRETTY DARN UNIQUE.

I don't get anything offline anymore. Last couple times I ordered something I never got it even though the money was still gone out of my account:mad:

filmmaker2 02-21-2005 06:48 AM

That totally blows. Sorry to hear that.

urgeok 02-21-2005 06:50 AM

i order exclusively from a guy here in canada .. we actually became good friends ..
best laserdisc seller on ebay .. very sucessfull because he's honest and does a great job.

never ceases to amaze me - these fucking crooked assholes
that somehow think they are making more money ripping you off for $5.

The honest guys with great reps get repeat business .. people who trust the guys are bidding against each other because they would rather pay more from a guy they trust.

my buddy got almost 20$ US for the laserdisc of Journey to the Centre of the earth on the weekend .. you can buy the DVD new for about $10.

That's a successful seller. The money is in the repeat business.

filmmaker2 02-21-2005 07:04 AM

I still love laserdiscs when I can get 'em...the images are far less compressed and many times the lasers are far superior to subsequent DVD releases.

Plus, it's the only way to get the original "Star Wars" movies before they got all screwed up-like.

urgeok 02-21-2005 08:20 AM

yeah i have a couple diff versions of star wars on laser.
not sure why though - i'm so godamn sick of it anyway.

i figure i'll never see them again until my kids shows interest.

the best thing about lasers is the availability of rare titles at a great price. There's still tons of stuff on laser not available on DVD.

LOL! No. That's my nickname for him as, like the latter day Bronson, he decided to grow facial hair in such a way that makes him look like a cuddly teddy bear. and not actually very threatening at all.

I know not of what you speak.

urgeok 02-23-2005 02:08 PM

although i promised i wasnt going to buy any movies this week ..
i gave into the madness ..

- Halloween 4 - anchor bay collectors tin - it was cheap.
- Hero (jet Li)
- Operation amsterdam (peter finch)
- Midnight Movies double feature - The Tomb of Ligela (or Ligeia - couldnt tell) and An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe

Argento's Opera was there - the guy who runs the store is watching it first - then he's gonna sell it to me.

knee jerk 02-23-2005 02:53 PM

Just got the new version of "Donnie Darko."

I was one of the 12 people here in KC who actually went to see it at the theater when it was re-released last fall. It ran for about 3 days out here in the midwest.
Anyhows, the new dvd comes with a great "bunny head" pendant for a necklace. Pretty cool.
Now, what to do with my old copy of "Donnie?"

Opera is a fucking amazing movie I watched for the first time in ages this morning. I've been trying to track down the band Steel Grave that plays on it but haven't been able to finda anything on them that isn't related to the movie. They have a pretty cool sound somewhere between Iron Maiden crossed with Motorhead. There's some really dark brutal murders in this one. It was pretty much the only Argento released over here completley uncut (under the title Terror at the Opera).

Crowe was excellent.

I can't stand this movie. Guy Peace sucked in it Crowe sucked in it (two of the lamest American accents I've ever heard in a movie). The story was totally lame. Very poor cash in on Hollywood's Film Noir past.

knee jerk 02-23-2005 09:52 PM

You're crazy, that film was GREAT and I mean Tony the Tiger "great" not some lame ass Capt. Crunch or anything.
So what do you consider to be a good movie?

42ndStreetFreak 02-24-2005 05:00 AM

Guy Pearce was excellent in "L.A." and coming from a crap Australian soap opera it was a huge surprise as well. Top film.

Anyway....
A nice, with colour cover DVD-R of the uncut "Ms.45"

A cheap, excellent condition pre-cert VHS of "The Demon"

42ndStreetFreak 02-24-2005 12:12 PM

Abel Ferrara's "Dangerous Game"
"Frankenstein/Bride of Frankenstein" SE
"Nude for Satan"

AUSTIN316426808 02-24-2005 08:56 PM

Paint Your Wagon
Stripes
Survival Island
American Psycho
An American in Paris
Blood Work
The French Connection
Groundhog Day

Requiem for a Dream and Infernal Affairs

Elvis_Christ 02-24-2005 11:00 PM

I haven't seen Internal Affairs for years I used to really like that film.

42ndStreetFreak 02-25-2005 04:14 AM

I think he means what he posted..."InFernal Affairs" the Hong Kong thriller with Andy Lau.

"Highwaymen" - Cheap in the sales, sounds good, and it's from the Director of the classic "The Hitcher".
