I think that we just have to wait and see. Zombie's other films to me (House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects) felt a little overbearing for first films. I hope he does not introduce too much gore into the series. I think most horror films today rely too much on gore to scare their audience's, which is why the original Halloween was so great in the first place. It played off people emotions and got down to their nerves. It always kept you thinking, while horror today keeps you thinking, when is the next bloody scene? Hopefully Zombie will do something great with this project. I'm pretty confident he can take the series to another level, especially since Carpenter has given him his blessing.

getting a blessing doesnt mean as much as making a good film

i guess we will see whether or not he delivers

Boo on that, I'd rather they didn't rush it and make me wait til October 31 for the Remake. I'm still praying that that script is bullshist.
