I just got my grandparents' gift in the mail. They gave me the Cary Grant box set. It's nice, real nice.

I dont want that to get anymore out of hand than it already is...I dont want to end up like Urge, you could say:p
Fuck it

I so love VHS. I was looking for some DVDs recently and was shocked to see that some of the stuff I wanted was out of print and people wanted twenty or thirty bucks for it. I found VHS versions of the same films for two or three bucks, and they'll do for now. VHS is cool if you're on a budget.

Or if you happen to not have a DVD player in your room, so if you want to watch a movie before bed it needs to be on VHS:p

The Flayed One 07-10-2006 10:43 AM

Hit up another nice little sale: 5 DVDs for $20.

The booty:
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
Beyond Re-animator
Undead
Red Siren
Alien vs. Predator

The_Return 07-11-2006 07:47 PM

Master of Suspence: Classics of Alfred Hitchcock. Its a nice, cheap little set with 6 of his early, public domain films:

The Man Who Knew Too Much (Original)
Secret Agent
The 39 Steps
Young and Innocent
Rich and Strange
The Lady Vanishes

I already have The Lady Vanishes, but for $8 I couldnt pass this up.

Swat, XXX and Pitch Black are the least of the bunch, but are at least a bit entertaining. The other 3 are great. So I'd say you came out ok.

DVD:
DEAD KENNEDYS - The Early Years LIVE

looking foward to this. The DKs were a very important band to me while I was growing up.

I havent seen Black Hawk Down (Not a fan of war movies), but otherwise you did very well. Especially with Creepshow.

Posher778 07-12-2006 08:48 PM

I haven't seen it either, but it was that or moulin rouge, which I have nothing against, but I want to sticxk with action and horror for a while.

all i can say is that i had to pick up a couple of bottles of pop at the gas station and i didnt want to use the interact card for just that ...

so ... i bought a cheap used movie that looks like a piece of shit.

while typing this i can see my logic has serious flaws.

I haven't seen it in awhile and even then I wasn't totally commited, but apparently the impression that it left wasn't too great. I'll check it out again to see what I missed, saw it at Wal-Mart for 5 bucks.

i really dug it when i 1st saw it ...
i liked that it definately had a non american flavour to it (no offence) ... i was in need of something different at the time and it fit the bill nicely.

"The Goonies" VHS

I actually wasn't so crazy about it when it came out, and revisiting it, I'm still not so crazy about it, although it looks nice and there was one scene I thought was really funny, the scene with the chubby kid explaining how he made all the people in the theatre throw up. "And then I made a noise like this: '.......HUUUUUUAHHH! .........HUUUUUAHHHH! ...........HUUUUAAAAHHHHH!!' "

It's the illusion of getting a lot for a little bit of money. And the shipping usually costs more than the movies.
Plus it's fun to get little packages in the mail.
