Thanks, it was driving me crazy trying to figure it out. It more than likely is a D-class movie, but I am gonna check it out again, and see why it stayed in my memory for so long.

Lots of drug use, more a comedy with violent themes than a horror though.
It wasn't bad, just wasn't particularly original...I still haven't seen the end, I have it on vhs, but I'm pretty sure that's the one you were describing.

No idea what Hoochika Poochika II The Return of Kitty is and the Mickey Rooney movie wasnt it at all...thanks for the help but i still need to find this movie...a woman is looking in a hole or portal that i assume is in the attic or bedroom and sees a demon or satan...she has a ring on that she puts in the hole and something happens that i cant remember...the movie was from either the 70's or 80's...nothing newer

You need to watch The Gate again - I think you must have just missed that scene.

the gate is about a boy who finds a hole outside and opens it up and releases clay animation demons or some sort...there is no hole in the hole only outside...there is no mother present in the end or middle of the movie...am i talking about the right movie?

We're talking about The Gate. This scene happens just after the cat attack sequence, and not long before the first appearance of the leather demon, if memory serves.

Just scanned it through it again very slowly and there is no mom in the movie....she leaves with the father somewhere...the sister and her friends are there along with the brother and friend...demons are in the movie but there is no ring...just a book a record played backwards and a party

You're right....after watching the whole video...I realized I have seen this movie...but I can't remember the name of it. That girl looks so familiar.
