Rover Red Charlie #1.
Get it now.
No doubt there'll be comparisons to WE3 but in my mind it's a pretty different sort of vibe. I actually can't wait to read the rest of this series.

This comic. I don't even know what's going on or how to explain it but.. it's beautiful. I have read the first two issues now, because of my love of Kelly Sue. After reading the first one, I had to tell everyone I know that they need to read each issue at least twice. I personally read them both three times. Once for plot, once for the poetry of the words, and the last for the art. Emma Rios has a better understand of page flow than any comic artist I've seen. There's one particular panel in the second issue where a characters hair wraps around the page, going outside of the box and onto the second page. A single strand of hair deviates from that on the first page and your eyes just follows exactly where it needs to be to see all the action.

It is truly a work of art.

Locke and Key series by Joe Hill.
I am really enjoying this book.

Serenity - Leaves on the Wind

Just got the first issue.
For those that were unaware, there have been multiple Firefly/Serenity comics.
I myself haven't read them as yet...though have been collecting them.

This one, I couldn't resist - because it's set after the events of the movie...it's kind of like watching another episode.

Seems pretty cool so far.
Wouldn't it be great if they made a new ongoing comic-based "series" as they've done with Buffy/Angel?

Anyways yeah, it's nice to visit the 'verse again.

Thanks for the heads up on this - I am a big Garth Ennis and hadn't heard of this. Read issues 1+2 so far, pretty good - reminded me a lot of Plague Dogs.

I haven't read Plague dogs, but yeah it seems pretty solid.

I'm collecting RRC at the moment 'til it's done.
I've taken to doing that with the finite series - just as I do a lot of TV shows these days. What with the sporadic and split up releases of both of them, to me it just makes for a better experience.

Just about to get into this weeks haul, I will mention anything, worth mentioning.

My last read comics:

Thor: The Vikings - Nice idea, disappointing in execution.

Started re-reading Hellblazer - loving it. My favorite all time title. I love Garth Ennis' Dangerous Habits arc:
