That depends... My mom's friend has a son who is an up and coming horror buff, so for him and other youngsters I think remakes are a bit of all right. Some movies need to be remade due to the shitty quality of the old. However, there is a sort of sacred quality to the old versions. I like the Dawn of the Dead remake somewhat because I thought the original was a little boring.
