Yeah, I looked. Surpsingly, our Blockbuster is going out of bussiness. Something about investing too much on their online rentals. Anyways, looks like I might have to be getting used to a new rental store or invest in some online deals myself. Any recc. on Canadian online rentals?

Personally, I think online rentals in general are overpriced. I did deal with Zip.ca for awhile though, and they seemed good. Fast shipping, pretty good sellection...ad you get a 2 week free trial:D. I quit once that ran out though, so I dont know how the prices are...

Couldn't watch it, just like parts of Cannibal Holocuast. The rape scenes are far too horrific in their own sense. Couldn't live with myself if I did watch them >_<

Yeah, I gotta admit, that movie was quite raw. But then again, it's a movie, it's acting. But ya gotta appericiate how girl served her rapists with savage revenge. The 'dismember scene' was extremely brutal. In fact, that scene is almost as harsh as the scene in "Cannibal Ferrox".

I just saw Wolf Creek last night.

Ehhhh...it was aalllright, I guess. A LOT of buildup for not very much reward. I thought the acting was pretty damn good by all the characters. When one of them (I won't spoil who) was being killed, her screams were so real and horrifying that it kind of added to how disturbing the scene was. I think we're all completely de-sensitized from watching horror movies, but performances like hers can kind of snap us back for a moment.

Storyline was just decent, though. Killer wasn't all that scary of a person, I think it's better to NOT reveal who the killer is until maybe the end.

7/10

The Exorcism of Emily Rose [Unrated version, if there's any difference]

I was truly surprised by this film. I was expecting typical Hollywood horror garbage, but instead got a smart coutroom drama, with only some elements of horror. Being a huge fan of courtroom dramas, I thought this film was very well done, however it suffered for every minute spent out of court. Emily herself was annoying [to say the least], but the rest of the cast was pretty good, esp. Campbell Scott and Tom Wilkinson.

Overall, Id say dont pass on this just because it looks like typical Hollywood crap. It has some elements of Hollywood crap, but all-in-all, it's a good film.

I watched the 1988 movie Memorial Valley Massacre. It's so bad it was good.

A shameless bit of Lynch worship called November. As said above, the director obviously wants to be David Lynch very badly, but he needs to work on the transparency of his plot and the overall sappiness. Not very good at all. 3/10

Re-Animator

What a great movie! Dont have time to say much about it, but the gore was great, the ending was really cool [if maybe a bit predictable], and Jeffery Combs was awesome as always. If you havent seen it....buy it!!!

...last movie I saw was King Kong (2005). See my full review in the thread under 'Modern', but to wrap it up in one word:

Amazing.
