"Skyrim" ps3

If you loved Oblivion, you will love this one as well.

I read the reviews, so I shouldn't be surprised... But the lack of story is really getting too me. It's beautiful, but the quests are already getting redundant.

Everyone said it and it's true - It's Borderlands 2.0.

:(

I want another Fallout 3. New Vegas was just too slow and glitchy.

Have you played Dead Island?

Not yet - It's the next one on my list after I get through Rage... How is it?

Elvis_Christ 11-20-2011 06:36 PM

Dead Island is alright but it won't completely blow you away.

I'm playing Fallout 3 at the moment. Missed it when it came out because my computer sucked. Played New Vegas for a bit but didn't get into it, Fallout 3 is much better so far and less glitchy/dull.

ManchestrMorgue 11-20-2011 11:53 PM

I've been switching between:

F1 2011 (PC)
Rocksmith (PS3)
Battlefield 3 (PC)

All great games in their own ways

After playing Fallout 3 and absolutely falling in love with it, I can't even express how disappointed I was in New Vegas.
  • The glitches are really inexcusable - I understand that a huge amount of testing has to go into a game of that size, but COME ON - If they're looking for people to QA it, I'd be more than happy to volunteer. ;)
  • It was definitely boring - Considering you have such a fantastic backdrop (I mean - VEGAS), I really think that they should have had a better story and a better cast of characters... I was also ultimately disappointed in the environment - Maybe they didn't have the rights to put in more casino games/names/whatnot, but I honestly expected more... More games, more gambling, more shows, maybe? I don't know... Just more.
  • The load times were HORRENDOUS. Considering that you couldn't fast travel into the heart of Vegas it was SO PAINFUL to have to go through at least two load screens to get into there - HUGE flaw if you ask me especially since this is supposed to be the CORE of the game...

ManchestrMorgue 11-21-2011 09:30 PM

But wasn't Fallout 3 pretty glitchy (at least on the PC) when it first came out?

But yeah, New Vegas wasn't in the same league as Fallout 3.

ChronoGrl 11-22-2011 05:21 AM

To be honest, I don't know - I only just played Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360.

leezuki 11-22-2011 12:05 PM

uncharted 2, just got a ps3 so excited.

Elvis_Christ 11-25-2011 09:12 PM

The gameplay was a bit daunting in New Vegas I pretty much quit on it because I felt like I was getting nowhere. Only a small way thru Fallout 3 but enough has happened that I feel like I'm actually getting somewhere. If that makes sense...

I believe so but not on such a large scale.

Fearonsarms 12-02-2011 01:52 AM

Villain thank you-I'm also hooked on Earthbound can't believe I'd never played it before-it's completely unique and it is just so immersive-I'm on break though I can't believe how scarily addictive it is.

H0RR0R 12-10-2011 09:14 AM

call of duty modern warfare 3

I used to play that game a lot... then I took an arrow in the knee.

cheebacheeba 12-17-2011 06:19 PM

DC Universe Online.
Griiiiiiiind
It's not bad though, cool powers/tricks as your levels go up, and a fairly accurate representation of the original DC continuity.
Bit annoying that you can't pass certain missions without getting your ass kicked at least a few times.
I made a Deadpool.
Very cool cutscenes in this one.

Am i really the only one playing Skyrim in here? Still??

Elvis_Christ 12-19-2011 03:32 PM

Been playing Operation Flashpoint: Red River and slowing chugging through Fallout 3. Started up on Driver: San Francisco again after accidentally deleting my saved game... so many pain in the ass missions to do again!

Planning on starting that one once I finish Fallout 3. Had it sitting on my comp for ages ready to go but wanted to hold off and give it my full attention.

I'm playing....beautiful game

ImmortalSlasher 12-20-2011 08:41 AM

I always have Resident Evil 4 nearby for Mercenaries. I need to pickup Resident Evil 5 Gold for the new additions. The main Resident Evil 5 game wasn't as good as part 4.

ImmortalSlasher 12-20-2011 08:58 AM

Anyone playing Corpse Party on PSP? That's something I want to play but I don't have a PSP yet. Sony doesn't want to release a separate white or dark silver 3000 model it seems and importing one is still expensive.

Sure is.

The soundtrack is amazing as well.

The Villain 12-20-2011 03:02 PM

I bought Skyrim for my brother for Christmas. I'm really excited to give it to him but at the same time i want to play so it sucks that i have to wait for him to be done lol.

You have to wait for him to be DONE??

The game takes forever. Been playing it almost nonstop for 2 months now and i'm not even sure i'm halfway through yet.

Yeah i'm pretty sure i'm never gonna get to play it

Anthropophagus 12-21-2011 09:20 AM

Just a quick note about Skyrim.

Does it matter if i haven't played any of the other Elder Scrolls games before to enjoy this one?

Not at all. Get in the ring.

Anthropophagus 12-22-2011 01:31 AM

Thats good Angra.

Looking forward to Christmas now,a little treat for myself.

I'm excited about it but I hate buying games that don't physically exist, even if I back them up to my pc. Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet on this one though...

cheebacheeba 12-23-2011 04:12 PM

Still on DCU Online.
A friend bought me the first Assassins Creed for Christmas though, I've wondered about this game for some time, will give it a spin shortly.

I've got all them to get through-I'm on a break from Earthbound and other retro games-wanted to play something more modern so was debating between the first Elder Scrolls and Baldur's Gate.

kyl3thund3r 12-28-2011 04:25 AM

Skrim. Loads and loads and loads of Skyrim.

ChronoGrl 12-28-2011 03:59 PM

Just picked up Portal 2 again. I put it down because, while I absolutely enjoyed it at the outset, I thought that it went a little long and I got frustrated. I still feel that frustration... It's at the point where I'm pretty much using walkthroughs to finish it.

GREAT game - Glad that they made a second one... But it feels oddly long to me...

newb 12-29-2011 08:15 AM

Saints Row III

lots of fun to be had with this one

Same here. I want to get the HD Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica but they were only released physically in Japan. I think I'll make due with my old versions. I've already purchased both games twice anyway. RE4 for Gamecube & PS2 and Code Veronica for Dreamcast & PS2. I'll make an exception for Corpse Party since it seems old school and kind of neat.

Laura6 12-29-2011 12:11 PM

been watching my son play Left for Dead 2

Despare 12-29-2011 11:12 PM

Uncharted lately...

DAMN, the intro is awsome!!

That intro has probably the most beautiful graphics i've ever seen in a game.

And now... to the actual game..
