Okay... day 3.

Not only is this an amazing game. Most definitely the best i've played this year, might even crawl its way up in my top 10 of all time favorites.
BUT, this is also one helluva comercial for New Guinea. Yea, who knew? Well, except for the zombies and the HIV facts, of course.

Can best describe this game as a mix between "Just cause 2" (Location) and "Fallout" (gameplay) with zombies added instead of mutants and soldiers. HALLELUJAH, PRAISE JEBUS!!

The Villain 09-11-2011 05:44 AM

Assassins Creed: Brotherhood

Geddy 09-11-2011 12:58 PM

Dead Space 2

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANTS

...

Alice: Madness Returns on the 360...

Talk about a disappointing game... The graphics are really sub-par - The colors are washed out... With such a fantastic backdrop, I really wish that you could interact with more of the environs, but unfortunately you can't... Being that you can grow and shrink at your will, one would THINK that you could shrink and go into little nooks and cranies, but not so much... Also, the story's pretty terrible.

It's a shame because it could have been fantastic if, say, the Bioshock people were at the helm... But this just seems like a pedestrian effort to me. :(

Yea.

It's got quite a Resident evil (4 & 5) feel to it as well, as soon as you arrive to the town. ;)

Damn it's awsome..

The undead are not all around you constantly, which gives you much more time focusing on your goals or just exploring. I personally appreciate that a lot. Yea, it's a little like GTA in an exotic undead world, without a vehicle. And the graphics and gore factor is niiiice. :D

darn u, so jealous i cant wait to play this game ;)

Are you telling me you've been around the entire beach area, doing the quests... and you still don't love it? Then you never will.

Sell it. To Chrono.

haven't bought a game in quite some time....but thinking I want Rage

anybody play it?

cheebacheeba 10-08-2011 09:52 PM

I have.
If you liked games like BioShock, Bulletstorm, Enslaved, and Singularity...it's got elements of those with what seems to be a slightly above average storyline.
Cool "fucked future" scenario. Good atmosphere.
I see a lot of potential in this one.

I've been playing through a slightly older title called "Venetica", bit of a Fable clone really...rather slow with some interesting features. Lots of side quests, and skills to learn. Feels a tad "bargain bin", but it's a solid enough adventure/rpg for me to continue with.

Elvis_Christ 10-08-2011 11:10 PM

Been playing Driver: San Francisco a lot this week.

Playing Dead Island as well pretty good so far but haven't really put in much time into it.

Started on Battlefield Bad Company 2 earlier this afternoon. Getting my ass kicked haha!

Freak 10-11-2011 05:55 PM

I played Rage for about an hour today and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Feels alot like Borderlands.

Anthropophagus 10-14-2011 07:14 AM

I`m the same Freak, jury is still out.

leezuki 10-16-2011 12:31 PM

marvel vs capcom, i find it boring, to fast and cant figure what is going on at high speed lol.

AmericanManiac 10-16-2011 03:40 PM

Gears of War 3, and Rise of Nightmares.

newb 10-21-2011 07:05 PM

Red Dead NIGHTMARE

Looking for Bigfoot

this game is a lot of fun

ChronoGrl 10-22-2011 05:34 AM

Rage

I read the reviews, so I shouldn't be surprised... But the lack of story is really getting too me. It's beautiful, but the quests are already getting redundant.

Everyone said it and it's true - It's Borderlands 2.0.

:(

I want another Fallout 3. New Vegas was just too slow and glitchy.

The Villain 10-22-2011 08:05 AM

Just bought Batman: Arkham City. I'll be playing that soon.

I honestly don't think there is one to match up against Fallout 3.

The Villain 10-23-2011 12:42 PM

Honestly i didnt even like Fallout 3

Can't top Dead Space for really any genre. I played Fallout 3, I know they aren't really similar, but... Yeah. Dead Space :3

Loved Dead Space. Last game i think i was really hooked on. Couldnt get into the second one though. I think that was around the time my obsession with video games started to dwindle.

Angra 11-02-2011 12:25 PM

"Fallout 3" the Mothership Zeta expansion.

Definitely the worst Fallout expansion i've yet played. Wasn't too fond of "Operation: Anchorage" either, but this one takes the trophy.

Right - The only problem I had with Dead Space is that it scared me too much so I had to stop playing. :o I should really give it another try. Heh.

Still playing Rage in my free time. Enjoyable, but I agree with critics that for such an "open world" it's pretty empty outside of quests. Gorgeous, but wish it had more that you could wander around and fight, explore, and plunder. Also the lack of a major plot thread is a de-motivator.

NinetyNine 11-06-2011 05:47 PM

The 3rd Birthday and Pokemon HeartGold. Both are awesome games.

tuleven 11-06-2011 10:51 PM

playing:
NBA Jam: On Fire Edition and Cthulhu Saves the World to pass time until MW3 comes out in a few hours. Tried to play a game called Risen, but it seemed like a clone of ES3: Morrowind so i couldn't stand it. got stuck in splatterhouse on brutal difficulty about 3/4 of the way through my first play-through (got far enough to unlock all the originals though! YAY! - sorta the reason i bought the game at all). still smashin on Black Ops, getting all the satisfaction i can from it until it becomes obsolete tonight.

cheebacheeba 11-07-2011 12:20 AM

Put Venetica aside for a while (slow game...) and started on another I'd had on the backburner for no apparent reason "HomeFront".
It's not bad. Another game that mirrors CODs control system.
I like alternative history/what if type realities in games so that's a pretty cool factor for me. It's nice looking enough with some pretty intense (sometimes annoyingly so) combat. Nice dark reality, this I like.
Only things I don't like is sometimes grenades just kill you very cheaply no sooner than you see the warning icon, and, your character moves around rather sluggishly. Nothing so bad that I won't keep playing, every game has it's flaws, and this one doesn't have a great many.
