I love Kaufman's humor and Miike has certainly made some interesting films...but Phantasm and Bubba Ho-Tep alone launch Don Coscarelli into another dimension for me.

I was going to vote Ridley Scott because I love Alien, but Alien is really the only Horror movie he's done (except for maybe Prometheus which isn't out yet)...so I don't really consider him a "Horror" Director.
