I'm gonna leave Phatasm open for another 24 hours. Hopefully we'll get a few more grades or else we may have to put this one on hiatus. I'd like each film to receive a minimum of 5 grades before we give it an average.

Wow. I thought a lot more people really liked Hostel. I didn't mind them both when I first saw them but have grown to really dislike these films.

I thought the big downfall of the first one was that it took damn near an hour to get to the action. The 2nd one got right to it, but was a pretty run of the mill torture flick. I did like the ending of the 2nd one though.

Is the second one worth watching? The first one was just crap, there were so many problems with it.

I liked the 2nd one better than the 1st. Not nearly as slow paced.

Agree with you there, except I thought the ending of the second was kinda rushed and killed the flick. The characters of the second flick were more likable compared to the first which was a plus. Cabin Fever is a better crafted flick compared the Hostel films.

I'm still waiting on Roth to deliver the goods... I'm sure he will kick my ass someday with an awesome piece of horror cinema.

Yeah, I really liked Cabin Fever which is why Hostel was even more disappointing since I knew he could do better.

I think I may check out Hostel 2 now, just to see it.
