This is why we're together...Only because we both like 'bad' horror movies

Not because you're super, sexy hot or anything...:p

House of the Dead

_____V_____ 10-18-2008 07:54 AM

House of the Dead and The Haunting (remake) are all tied up with 5-5 rotten eggs apiece, while Gothika has got 2 fetid tomatoes splotched on it.

The next rotten egg/tomato decides this one...

I cant watch House of the Dead get ousted in the first round...that's just wrong.

Uwe Boll for the win.

_____V_____ 10-18-2008 08:31 AM

House of the Dead and The Haunting (remake) are again tied up with 6-6 rotten eggs apiece, while Gothika has got 2 fetid tomatoes splotched on it.

The very next rotten egg/tomato decides this one...

urgeok2 10-18-2008 08:32 AM

house of the dead

_____V_____ 10-18-2008 08:35 AM

Bingo!

Urge finally chucks an extra rotten egg at House of the Dead, which scores the win with 7 rotting eggs...The Haunting (remake) gets 6 rotten eggs, while Gothika scores 2 decayed tomatoes.

urgeok2 10-18-2008 08:37 AM

gothica was pretty fucking horrible.

had i seen that one at the theatre instead of simply renting it - i may have voted for it.

i PAID to see house of the dead

Round 1 Match 10

This one is so bad it baffles even the best of bad-movie lovers, and wtf was Rutger Hauer thinking?!

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...KL._SS500_.jpg

vs.

Confused after watching this one? Dont worry, everyone else was, too...nobody got what this one wanted to be, not even the makers...

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...ZL._SS500_.jpg

vs.

The one movie which is GURANTEED to score a vote from Rayne...yes, its THAT pathetic...one of the unforgivable blots of modern day cinema...

The same thing he was thinking when he made Bone Daddy - "Is it payday yet?"

Shamalammadingdong get's my vote(probably should get some kind of career award).

The_Return 10-18-2008 08:49 AM

Didn't see Bleeders, and I don't think The Village is half as bad as everyone says - it was just poorly marketed. It's not a masterpiece, but it wouldn't get nearly as much shit if the trailers didn't make it look like the scariest movie ever made.

My vote has to go to Soul Survivors, mostly just for that gem of a tagline:rolleyes:

bloodrayne 10-18-2008 08:53 AM

GRRRR...THE VILLAGE!!!

That was NOT a HORROR MOVIE!!!

Only one person died, and it was a freaking ACCIDENT

No one even stubbed a TOE

Oh, one little stab...And the guy recovered

WHAT THE HELL?!

Dude Guadalupe 10-18-2008 08:54 AM

Hence my point - had they advertised the movie that it actually was, it would have gone straight into Rayne's "I'll-Never-Watch-This-Because-It's-Not-Horror-And-I'm-Super-Closed-Minded" pile.

You know I love ya ;)

i dont care about the horror or lack of it..

the performances were horrible...William Hurt was embarrasing..
and Bryce Dallas Howard was god awful too ...

i didnt like the story - i didnt like the little deliberately misleading things that were thrown in that only served the suprise ending (the old style language)

it was like a poorly made twilight zone ripoff that could barely have survived being a 20 minute short.

M. Night was too wrapped up in giving a twist ending - to provide a story that was of any interest.

I agree, I actually think some scenes were set up pretty well, but that just make it all the more disappointing overall.

The Village

_Leatha_Face_ 10-18-2008 10:13 AM

The Village.....this movie was TERRIBLE

missmacabre 10-18-2008 10:22 AM

the village was pretty bad. I found a tiny bit interesting on second watch but only because I had a fever so high I was halucinating.

Oh, I know you have valid reasons for disliking it - I just saw a good chance for a potshot at Rayne :D
