There's a couple of problems with your suggestion:

1.The final award - I already have someone in mind for that and it wasn't you.

2.How long would "later" be, I know the real oscars goes on all night , but this is a virtual awards ceremony and shouldn't take that long - if it starts at 11:00, it should be finished by 12 or 01:00 at the latest. This will also mean that every presenter needs to be ready for that space of time. Bearing that in mind, please remember that the Saturday before Halloween is, I'm assuming quite a busy period, *with parties, last minute shopping/preparations for Halloween night. Not everybody will be able or even want to wait that long.
Some may not be available to attend in the first place.

* Im refering to our American friends here - time difference

3. If you look at the list of judges, I did say that the names could change, re: presenters. You will also read, that I did say not all members of the Judging party wish to present. Until the actual voting takes place AND the list of presenters is finalised, things will remain the same as they are.

4. I appreciate your enthusiasm, about taking part, but a line has to be drawn somewhere, ie. The awards will be on Saturday, the 27th. Not sooner nor later. If you wish to run this event by all means do so, saves me the bother.

RE Number 2 & 3
It would be helpful if the members who wish to present an award/or are available to do so, could let me and the other members of the presentation party know please - in this thread if you wish. So we'll all know what the score is. thnx

ferretchucker 10-18-2007 06:50 AM

woohoo! The party finishes at 10:30pm. I should be back at my house for eleven. great. I should make it.

ferretchucker 10-18-2007 10:50 AM

CST or Central Standard Time (- 6 UK) - 5:00pm/17:00

erh ... You have AIM don't you? I've got that as well, that maybe a possible solution. Can't see why both can't be used. I can always pass on your vote/queries to those who only have MSN.

Whatever happens everyone who wishes to vote, SHALL have a vote

so sayeth me.

ferretchucker 10-19-2007 06:52 AM

And so, Tic wrote down 10 commandments in pixels and sent them via e-mail to disease, who carried his laptop downstairs, went on webcam and declared earth follow these rules, but they did not, and so disease got so angry, he smashed his laptop.

tic 10-19-2007 06:54 AM

Ha ha ha ha :D

And that's not being sarcastic

ferretchucker 10-19-2007 06:56 AM

Shame. If disease did break his laptop, he wouldn't post on here anymore. I can dream though.

tic 10-19-2007 06:59 AM

Looks like the big fight is still on then.

What do prefer:

1) A hardcore match
2) A hell in the cell match
3) A table match
4) All of the above (over a crocodile, infested, pool of dead cows)

ferretchucker 10-19-2007 07:06 AM

I don't like fights. They're wrong.

Sorry to here that ....... can't be helped.

Seems this is one of the hazards of a global web site or awards ceremony

@ Disease there's a few hours left, its not until tomorrow night - the close of votes.

GorePhobia 10-19-2007 10:40 AM

Just what I was thinking :(

Oh well, looks like one of the big categories is now well and truly ownerless, ie no presenter.

I thought of ____V____ simply because of all the work he's put in, to other games/events.

So a revised presenter list is definitely on the cards.

If only the timing could be re-scheduled to the morning shift...i.e., morning for us, day/noon time for you folks in the UK.

It could fit the bill for everybody.

I've certainly no problem with a change in time, I'll try and get in touch with everyone and see if its ok with them.

The only problem I can see is it would mean being early for the people in the US, the time difference. If it was put on earlier say 12 noon or 1pm GMT, that would make it 7:00 - 8 am est. If people can work with this re-scheduled time then its OK with me.

How about 2-3 PM GMT in the afternoon...that would be 9-10 AM EST, 6-7 AM PST?

I dunno, tic...we would have to accomodate the majority here. Dont shift the timings just for me.

See what the others have to say about this.

GorePhobia 10-19-2007 11:35 AM

I'll be here whenever.

ferretchucker 10-19-2007 12:53 PM

GorePhobia 10-19-2007 11:02 PM

GorePhobia 10-20-2007 12:08 AM

awesome

can't wait for the oscars!

tic 10-20-2007 12:14 AM

I have to go out for a while, but will be back later, with a couple of announcements/suggestions regarding the time of the oscars, which may ensure everybody who wants to take part can:

One is pretty obvious if you think about it, while the other may work depending on peoples boredom threshold

;)

tic 10-20-2007 12:28 PM

To all who sent messages - got them thnx.

Im dealing with them now.

There's still a couple of hours to go till the voting closes, so I'll keep it open until then.

From the replies to the categories, there is a good mix of nominees, apart from a pretty obvious one, which I think we all know who has won (or should that be lost) the award, but there's always a chance of a shock!

To all who have replied, once again Thanx.

ferretchucker 10-20-2007 12:32 PM

Are you watching the rugby. Pretty dissapointing.

tic 10-20-2007 01:36 PM

Missed it, but was expecting the worst anyway. At least they where there.

Could have been worse; but all is not lost; Rangers beat Celtic. hah, hah, hah, hah :D :D

;)

tic 10-20-2007 03:03 PM
