If only I'd not been working last night and been here, I could have saved you lot about 5 pages of wasted posts!! :D

movieman64 11-05-2004 04:06 AM

For the record, the first TCM house was moved, it's now a restaurant...would have made a great BBQ place.

Here's another.

urgeok 11-05-2004 05:27 AM

Haunted 11-05-2004 07:27 AM

NOES Dream Child?

The girl that works at the diner....? You know, she was the main character, and she was pregnant.

urgeok 11-05-2004 07:29 AM

I understand the diner in Friday the 13 because I remember one of the older one's...a couple was killed getting into their car.

The point of this post is that diners are a little ubiquitous with horror films. They pose as the last piece of civilization to the only safe place you THINK you can run.

urgeok 11-05-2004 07:43 AM

Haunted ... did you see Miracle Mile ?

Haunted 11-05-2004 07:53 AM

No, but I've heard of it. If you say it's at least interesting I'll check it out. For, not only did I come here to discuss horror, but learn about it (and other flics too).

its not horror .. but its a film i'd recommend to anyone with a taste for great films.

The diner made me think of it because thats where the turning point of the film takes place.

Definately check it out ..its a powerful film that changes directions radically early on.

It'll seem like a light romantic comedy at first ... its not !

(and again - Music by Tangerine Dream :)

Haunted 11-05-2004 08:03 AM

Thanks, urgeok! I'll give it a look-see. I'm always up for a good film.

zwoti 11-05-2004 08:06 AM

urgeok 11-05-2004 08:35 AM

The Blob too.

Would you consider the restaurant in The Hitcher a diner?
